Not sure if this applies since it's not on the exchange list, but another potion is Mystical Aptitude. I still have several of these and I actually use these to prevent "fizzling" when I don't have a chanter to cast Intellectual Advancement on me. I would like to keep the old ones that I have. Wish that it hadn't been removed, but I guess I was the only one that used this potion.

Also, Thanks for doing the tool again. I have several Essences and other random potions that I had been selling as single doses in the old alchemy times, but it would be nice if they stacked now like the current potions

    Thanks

Maddoc dropped that one becasuse 3 casting levels makes very little difference. ESPECIALLY when cursed with lowered casting level. The one most quoted as this potion being needed for is -100 casting levels... so it moves you from -100 to -97... still not gonna cast any easier...

That said he is willing to consider adding it.

I've never really done the math with the buffs, just noticed that I seem to fizzle less when I have IS, IA, or mystical aptitude potion on. Maybe it's a self-conscience thing, I don't know But I do think that a potion that has the same effect as Intellectual Advancement/Superiority would be great to have since it seems like many Enchanters don't realize how nice this buff actually is

Thanks for the consideration. It's nice to know that we are heard by you

I have one more question and forgive me if you already answer but trying to get this straight.

Potion of Calimony can no longer be made? Correct?

If it is obsolete, It has not corresponding new potion at this time correct?

or Cna I still make these?

After further conversation we will not be restoring Calimony, Soluan's Vigor, nor the three rejuvenation potions.

I am willing to change my mind if there is another reason for these potions beyond the abuse of the proc mechanic and Earthshaker, but no-one has presented me with a good reason beyond that. The stats are not enough of a reason since they would not stack with the other stat potions anyway.

We are still considering the Concentration and Stinging Wort potions.

Any more updates on this? I still get Clerics asking me for the Concentration potions... would be very cool to have them back..

only what I posted on 6/15, and will probably not have an update on this. It is not likely to be implemented as a between patch thing, but as part of an expansion.

                  Elixer of Concentration

Not to keep beating this horse, but the Elixer of Concentration line has been a consistant request since it was removed. It isn't an abuse item. There is a legitimate use for it with no comparable replacement in the revamp. Your own admission was its elimination with no replacement was an oversight.

From what I read throughout the forums and hear in game, I would imagine its replacement should be more than a 'consideration' and certaintly deserving of more than being an 'expansion' update item. I honestly thought you would have fixed your error in this last patch, but I was wrong.

                    Stinging Wort potions still needed!

Stinging Wort was a good potion for use still on the Zek PvP server. While there are Crimson Potions that you can buy from a vendor, the Crimson Potions are cureable by some classes because they are like a disease spell.Stinging Wort potion acts like a fire type dot or similiar and has to be dispelled off the person you are fighting. They are still very desireable.

I dont see why it was removed.

Also, Stinging Wart potions were able to be made in 5 and 10 dose, Crimson Potions are not stackable and take up a ton of inventory.

                    Please bring them back

Any hope of elixirs of concentration/greater concentration being added with the expansion patch? I've been rationing them strictly but i'm almost out

Hint to everyone: it doesn't hurt to submit feedback intended for the higher ups, not just the front-line devs. For example: "I love tradeskills, they're one of my favorite things about EQ, but there are so many great things that keep getting put off because there isn't time for them to be implemented. Tradeskills need to be more of a priority! Give Ngreth more time! Hire him an assistant! Hire him a team of assistants! Let him implement the great ideas we know he has! Tradeskills could be SO neat if he's given enough time!" You are the customer - your opinions about the priorities and direction of the game are just as important as your ideas about concrete, specific improvements.

Feedback is powerful stuff. Use it whenever you find yourself thinking "I wish they would..."!

Off topic perhaps, but I find /feedback to be completely useless. Its not that I expect to always see my change immediately implemented but so far nothing i've ever feedbacked has ever been changed and there hasn't even been any means of determining whether a dev glanced at it and ignored it, nobody ever saw it and it went straight to /dev/null, or if it was copied to papyrus by scribes and hand-delivered to our alien overlords. We have only vague and unconfirmable assurances that feedback is read that mean nothing. Why waste time writing up a feedback message when the odds are incredibly slim that it will have any effect and 0% odds of ever knowing whether your feedback ilicited the effect even if you are lucky enough to have something you suggest changed?

My standard response to people asking me for master level half-elven cultural on my server now includes a helpful suggestion to /feedback the rarity of the drops. I would *love* to be able to make this stuff, and sometimes I get two or three requests in a single night. But no one in their right mind would pay 60k for a master's BP (which would be cost if I bought the reptile teeth at current bazaar price.)

They do get read. I know that much for a fact, because devs have told me so at Fan Faires. They're good folks, and I believe them. The problems as far as I can tell are: #1, you don't know when the answer is "no", and #2, it might be years until someone gets the time or an expansion that would fit the concept to implement them. Well, and #3, there isn't enough time for the people working on EQ to do all the things we (and probably they) would like to see done. Thus, the need to voice your opinions about what the priorities should be.

I'm guessing that between feedback and their message board, feedback is probably more likely to make it to the upper echelons because it is the sort of thing more likely to be forwarded or compiled in some form or something.

I may be wrong, of course; it may never get past front line people who aren't really able to do anything with this kind of suggestion. But it takes, what, all of a minute? Half a minute if you dispense with capitalization and punctuation. And if it results in development that better reflects what you would like the game to be, well, wouldn't that be cool?
