Need help please

I am new to the abysmal sea zone, and have no clue how to find the alchemy merchant, I have all maps and the vendor is marked on the map, problem is the merchant seems to be a level or more below the place where I am standing when I am there. I also tried to use find but it no workie. Please help, thanks

from magus, exit through door, angle right, jump over railing, then next stairs go down them, turn around go through doorway inder stairs, follow hallway till it opens up into a cargo area. kinda off to the right at the back of cargo area is a set of stairs. go up them, then on the left side of the back wall is a doorway that leads to a nother room with the alchemy merchants....

That's about right. You can also try to use the find button to locate the bankers, then find to locate the alchemists. The bankers are closer to the magus, but it might still not work. I wonder with the Find button is going to get fixed. It has a problem with the range, like if you are too far away from the person you are trying to find it won't work. Oh well, if you get lost, just wonder around below deck (inside and down two levels from magus) and you might stumble across them. That's how I found them
