It seems that some people are feeling a bit stretched, And I don't blame them. So I thought I would say I love the new changes, it has been a challenge figuring some things out and there have been some bugs, but People have been working hard and we have all been wanting an alchemy overhaul for a long time.

Besides now I can say, I remember when I fell off the boat, had to stare at spell book while medding, and spent 50k on alchemy skill ups!

Also EQ traders is my absolute favorite site, I got the impression that it is run by one person, Astounding! This must be a harrowing time, lol.

IN short, KUDOS to Ngreth, and KUDOS to EQtraders, I appreciate what has been done in the last few days. And look forward to more.

      kudos also

It has been a great opportunity to be involved in finding the recipes for, basically, a completely new skill. I dont play this game because it is easy, i play this game because it is hard, and should be hard. Once it becomes easy interest is gone. Ask (most)anyone who has played eq for years, once they have a toon figured out and have it about maxed out they lose interest in that toon. Some of the best times spent here are finding a recipe no one else has reported, or figuring out how to make your first few pp with a toon, working hard to get your first upgrades from your noob armor quests.

I whole heartedly support all of those efforts made to make interfacing with the game easier and more effecient. I whole heartedly disapprove of those things that dumb down the game or make it less of a challenge.

note: referenced post split and placed in PSR

Sownow, I don't think your post is appropriate in this thread.

Wait until all the the potion recipies have been rediscovered... THEN you can complain about ones that are missing.
        {edit by Maev - I moved the post this ^^^^^ refers to}

Let's remember the hard work that went into making this better.
/hugs Ngreth. /hugs Maddoc (no way we forget you too!)

          Me Lazy

Well when i first found out about the overhaul i thought "Oh Gawd". Kinda had what i wanted/needed down to a fine art. Then the patch comes in and i log on and think "Hmmm, what's new", with skepticism of course (after all i am Vah Shir ).
It was actually a pleasant surprise. For example i use to carry around a stack of heliotropes just in case someone in group needed a port out, now i can carry around a stack of gate potions and not worry about taking up 10 slots in inventory. I never actually got round to getting my GM alchemist thingy as i kept failing the combine and the artisan seal was always so expensive to buy. At the mo im trying out the tradeskill quest in freeport, which 1. is fun and 2. is helping to get my recipes back
I actually thought that i was gonna hate the revamp for alchemy but i've been proved wrong. So much more to discover though.
I'm lazy and i'm the kind that just prefers to come onto eqtraders look up a recipe and bingo. In fact i'm still doing that, so come on all you alchemist out there, hurry up and post the recipes .
But all in all, i do like the revamp, so yeah as has already been posted well done devs.

I do the day to day maintenance, although we have a super team of database gnomes and board moderators that do a great deal of the work, too. Niami still oversees things but is more active on the EQ2 side nowadays.

And yep, harrowing definitely covers it, although it's exhilarating to see things come together, too!

              Thanks!

This is my first post here, but I want to say thanks to everyone for all the hard work getting the info to us. Also, thanks to Ngreth for the advance warning, and showing us that some of the devs are trying to help us out! It's refreshing to have a dialog with someone who, not only knows the game, but is in a position to actually improve it!
