I Will NEVER ever have anything bad to say about Ngreth, Maddoc or any Dev's who post here as I see them as friends and alliesinour ongoing pursuits here. I just hope that something can be done about the Essences needed for this "beginner" test...lol

Any luck here Ngreth, no hurry but a triv of 210 on combines for a beginner is a tad stout.../grin.

I wouldn't count on anything before the 3/14 patch hon.

Chin up! I'm stuck on last item for 4 different trophies myself because I'm missing an item or two. (not oversights except tailoring, but just rarity of items. alas)

/holds your hand and we'll wait together.

Yeah unfortunately it requires a full patch

I have made the changes though so when that patch happens, it should go.

          Scheduled 3/14 as mentioned above.

Sorry, it's because I see that same attitude on Sony's boards too. "Don't bother addressing developers here," they say, "do it some other place." Other place being no better. Us peons do not have the luxury of a direct line of contact, so our bug reports usually go unacknowledged no matter where we report them. Ngreth is exceptional.

I know it's not addressing the basic question, but with the new (very cheap!) recipes that are PURELY available from the Vendors, it should be possible to skill up to the next skill bracket and get the Trophy quest again? I believe this is what the beginner brewers etc. are already doing.

well the trophy quest is an unlimited timer on it. (so far) and as im doing mine ive come across one wiht a triv of 210, with the exception of mist of the wolf II others are triv 100, 102, 156104, 53x2, and not sure on Distillate of comprehension, and Formed suspension of Pestilence.... atm my alch skill is 178, so this grouping is fair so far. but for the beginner i think that 210 is alittle high....

ill let ya know once ive come across the 3 i need to find/solve the recipies for...

Distillate of Comprehension VIII requires a Fine Potion Vial, Valerian Root, Robust Shadow Essence, 2xSickle Leaf, and 2xYerbhimba per this thread, the trivial is >200, I think in the neighborhood of 250?

Mist of the Wolf I has a trivial of 250 IIRC; I shudder to think at what the trivial for Mist of the Wolf II is going to be.

The recipie for Suspension of Pestilence is out there; I've seen it, but I've been leaving Suspensions and Tonics alone for now and focusing on finishing out the missing levels in the Distillates, Elixirs, and Effusions, so I don't have it handy.

                    Basic Suspension of Frost II:

                    Crude Friable Potion Vial
                    Sticklewort
                    Fragment of Seathorn
                    Fragment of Yellow Rheum
                    Fragment of Suranie x2

I'm pretty sure I've got the Suspensions nailed down now, the only thing I have not yet confirmed is a level X suspension -- I haven't got my hands on any Shards of Ro yet -- the usual bazaar chancers are trying to sell these at up to 100kpp on Antonius Bayle.

I can be patient, I don't get to play that much anymore anyhow.

I just want to thank all the DEV's and others who have taken time to post here, without your postings I would have gone crazier than I already was, assuming there is a stage past crazy X...lol.

I know it takes time to fix things and it is a group effort and not only in Alchemy but other areas things need a minor tweak here or there, so March 14 is not a big wait...sides I might just get lucky and make em, then I get to grin about it...lol

                        Freshman Alchemist Quest

I've read the entire thread and I understand that nothing is going to be able to be done until the March 14th patch, and I'm of the opinion that any change to try to fix this stuff is wonderful whenever it happens. But I missed whether ngreth was looking at all the quests or just the beginner one. I'm currently at 165 skill and was thinking that the mist of wolf II with a triv of 290 also seems a little steap for the Freshman quest. If it's going to be reevaluated, no biggie, I will just wait until the patch to finish up my quest, but if not I'll focus on skilling up and finish it between now and then. I was just trying to figure out which would be a better usage of my limited playing time, farming for items for these potions, or lvling my alchemy skill.

BTW: I applaud everyone for all their hard work on posting recipes in here because I don't have the time to play to sit and figure out all these recipes myself (or the mental faculties )

And a big thankyou to ngreth for taking the time to do his best to hear everyone out

I did look at the overall picture of the alchemy, and made the changes to a few different ones... I do not know if I got that one, but I may have. It may miss the patch, but I will try and look at it.

now there is a rareity... not only to the Dev's but to the true tradeskillers who have been banging our heads on the wall figureing these recipies out...im thrilled that SOMEONE actually took the time to acknowledge all of us.... as will i.

good job guys, and thanks as well.

/clears the pile of post it notes away from the key board.

Probably not in that time frame.

But I will look into it in general
