Ngreth,
As this is my first post, I hope I am not violating any rules by asking this...but to do the beginners alchemy quest for the evolving alchemy item, I am just wondering why in the quest we are required to make 2 items (essence of troll and essence of half elf) that have a rumored skill level of 210?
Seeing as I am a beginner alchemist with a skill of 55 currently, this seems a little out of proportion to the item itself. Not to mention the items required are quite pricey (fangorth is 55pp each). All other items come up in the level II range and are well within my ability to make.
This is not a rant...I am simply curious as to why 2 such high end items are required to complete the quest? Seems rather silly to get the beginners alchemist item after getting my skill from 55 to around 190 to have a shot at combining a 210 skill item, for an evolving item that is supposed to grow with me during my chemist career. Wouldnt this then make me an intermediate or advanced alchemist? I dont truly understand the progression, so forgive my ignorance on this, but my understanding is that it has 7 stages? I want the stage 2 item...which corresponds with my skill.
Any enlightenment would be appreciated!!
