  • This is not a Rant, some potions are vanishing.

This is a problem I spotted today.

I had 155 Ensnaring Sphere VI's on my Trader (1 stack of 100, 1 stack of 55) before the patch.

Now I have 2 Shaped Suspension of Slime IX. One in each inventory slot where my stacks were.

I put in an "Item reimbursal" petition. But I'm putting this note here so everyone else can check to see if stacks of items might have gotten similarly crunched.

The patch message mentioned that they hadn't finished the potion changes for the existing ones yet. I would bet that is the problem. Just wish I could find that bit again...

I had the same problem, though with many more stacks. It was all of my Spheres, my normal concoctions were not affected. Lost several hundred spheres of different types

I'm hoping to get an answer to my petition that doesn't include the normal canned response that indicates the GM didn't even read what I wrote, we shall see....

I too am out a few hundred snare potions also. Very downheartening.

Mind you this isn't the 1st time I've had potions go bad on me. I made several hundred potions just after DoN came out, and they all had Charges: Zero (instead of charges 1). The GM's refused to change them for me after the recipies were corrected. I think I lost 300-400 that time.
I /bugged and /petitioned and it was all to no avail.

I'm really not holding out any hope - my previous experience for the potion 'refunds' was very disheartening.

Veril, if you have destroyed them then they are destroyed, yes. If by chance you have thrown them into a random inventory slot on a mule, though, I found a work-around for that problem.

I also had a stack of potions with zero charges on them. After the recipe had been patched, I made another potion, and the new one had one charge on it. I clicked my /autoinventory hotbutton, and the new one added to the stack of old ones, and all the potions in the stack still showed zero charges.

            That was distressing.

Then I considered the reverse possibility. I made yet another new potion, and set it manually in its own inventory slot. I then picked up the stack of old potions, /autoinventoried them, and they added themselves to the 'stack' that had that single new potion: and all of the potions in the stack now had one charge.

Oh my...tell me this only works in this specific instance (0 charges.) Otherwise, making just 2 potions means unlimited charges. Just use up all but one charge on one potion, then /autoinv it to join the other (full) potion.

Except that there aren't going to be any more multiple charge potions, right? So it shouldn't be an issue for the future.

Now, here's where it gets interesting. In the Luclin bazaar, you can still find 10-dose gate potions, damage shield potions, and several others. I know because I bought one myself to test.

In theory, all pre-existing 10-dose potions should have been converted with the patch. So, that means that either the old recipes to make 10-dose potions still exist, or some potions weren't converted right by the patch.

its likely tied in to an old bug they havent gotten around to fixing regarding rebuilding stacks of items - I've servermoved a couple times due to merges, and each time I've been moved, some stacked items ended up with only 1 in each stack... first time it happened, I just thought that I'd forgotten how much I actually had... the second move though, noticed that an old mule I hadn't touched in a long time had 4 backpacks of Holy Cake - funny thing was, there was only 1 cake in each stack - not a big deal at all, but it made the bug glaringly obvious.... and yeah, I /bugged it back then....

It was a bug with the tool that did the conversion

Unfortunately your only current resource is CS. (a petition asking to get an equivalent amount of items) I asked Maddoc to talk to them about it.

Unfortunately, past that... I do not know what to tell you I wish I had more.

Good idea, but it doesn't work.

Potion with one charge is consumable, so it goes from potion-with-one-charge to nonexistant.

I did /petition. The GM who responded said it was something only the Dev Team could fix.

Maybe someone could tell the GMs... or the Dev Team?

Lost well over 1,500 potions here, all of them made with either sphereical or hand-formed bottles for increased throwing distance. Petitioned both accounts missing these items and both were answered with sincere apologies about not being able to reimburse me.

Petitioned a few times, the GM's keep telling me about the changes and stacking limits. Grrrr. I know all about the changes, I know all about the stacking limits. I just wanted to get the 200ish snare potions back. They completly ignore that bit of my petition each time.

Even so the GM's are telling me the wrong stuff. They are saying all potions are 20, well they certainly aren't now. Ngreth moved throwables back up to 100.
