            Very uncalled for.

            1) He said flat-out that the duration decrease was a mistake and that it was corrected.

            2) It was stated before alchemy was changed that some potions would simply go away... that there would not be any way to make more of them after the patch.

Maddoc said this on the shaman board...

"As far as the possibility of there being potions that simply won't exist anymore... There are a few potions that have been completely removed, primarily because they seemed particularly useless. So far, we've gotten no complaints of missing potions on the Beta Server, which is a good sign."

Also, Ngreth said this in the same thread...

"It looks like the only two really going away totally, that do not have some equivalent are

Elixir of Divine Endurance (+10 all saves for 3 mins)
Potion of Mystical Aptitude (+3 effective casting level for 3 minutes) "

You can make of that what you will.
I don't consider 3 mana regen "particularly useless" nor have I seen its "equivalent" in terms of stackability.

I'm *SO* glad they're being reconsidered. Thank you Ngreth. I know it's not a promise that they'll come back in some form, but it's hope!! I think that most people didn't use them in the past because the components were expensive, so they're used stingily on occasions where they're really needed and when no necros are available.

All I can say is... They looked at the potion, saw it said "increase Mana Regen by 3" (or whatever) and said "oh, we have another potion that does this already!"

When you're talking about the sheer amount of work that was involved in this revamp, it's easy to see how something like this might slip through the cracks. The idea that it was a deliberate "nerf" to "hose the players" is insulting and uncalled for.

It looks to me like nearly ALL of the useful old world potions got the nerf.

Gate potions got a de facto price increase. Sure its a "bug fix" but they could have changed the sellback price years ago and didnt. End result is the price increased.

10 all resist and stackable mana regen potions outright removed.

Damage Shield potions got their damage amounts and durations nerfed at least for their number 1 market... twinks.

Cure potions got a recast time placed on them nulling their use as quick raid level AE recovery devices.

Am I missing anything? If it were a simple matter of oversight they wouldn't say "oh well we'll think about it... let you know in a couple months."
