I have seen references to the Thurgadin Gate Potion but can find no information regarding it. Is there such a thing, what is it and how do you make it? Thank you.

It is not an Alchemy potion. It is part of the Coldain Prayer Shawl quests.
Specifically, you make it during the Shawl 4 portion of the quest
Incidentally, it's, called the Vial of Velium Vapors

One of my favorite old school recipes and the reason all my melee characters learned pottery. This portion of the quest is all thats important, and if your faction is half decent she will give you the velium purifier
You say, 'Hail Frundle Frenkler'
You say, 'What are Velium Vapors?'
Frundle Frenkler says, "Ahh, you come seeking my family recipe? After all you've done for our people it's the least I can do. First you must fashion a velium vial, then combine the vial with two small pieces of velium in this jar. That's all there is to it. Please keep the recipe a secret."

You say, "What is a velium vial?"
Frundle Frenkler says "I'm no potter mind you, but if I remember correctly it's a small brick of velium, three crystalline silks, and two glass shards. Then you'll have to finish up by firing it in a kiln with a high quality firing sheet."
Make the vials first using pottery, you can store several in your bank for quick use, and only make one gate potion because they are lore. Anytime I used a potion I would quickly dash to the bank, grab a vial and make a new one.
Granted these have limited use now, but back in the days of velious they were a godsend.Comment
