Ocean Ink = Deepwater Ink now.

It appears a change was made to Ocean Ink in the patch. It is now called Deepwater Ink. Same icon.

The recipe's that use Ocean Ink have changed to Deepwater Ink as well.

Old ocean inks were also magically transmuted into deepwater inks. At least mine were.

An interesting thing though... I noticed when I brought up my /barter window that someone was wanting to buy Ocean Ink. When I right clicked on it, it came up as Deepwater Ink. /shrug

I /bugged it so it'll be prolly be fixed in about 8 or 9 months.

Drop rate has been nerfed also. Spent 2 hours in Siren's Grotto and 1 hour in Kedge Keep with NO Deepwater Ink dropping at all.
Very Disappointing.

The drop rate definitely wasnt nerfed or changed at all on Bertoxx. I farmed 120 in less than 3 hours duoing in sirens, which is almost exactly the rate I was seeing them drop a few months ago while I was doing a masters smithing quest in sirens. It doesnt seem to matter whether you kill swordfish, bulthar, or walruses they all drop 2 inks about 50% of the time.

Ocean Ink

What is the deepwater / ocean ink used in for the alchemy skill? I see it is used in Poisons but cant find an alchemy recipie for it. Just curious because I started a shaman recently and am working alchemy. I saved about 20 stacks of Ink from PoWater exp groups over the ages and would love to find some use for them.

Anything but. KK and PoW drop it like it's hot! (Hip Hop lends itself so well to the EQTC boards.)
