Since I didn't see a thread where 300 peeps can strut (come on, give us that, it's been a long walk), I figured I may as well start one.

I would have used that thread, but its title is "Master Alchemist Veril (Xegony Server)." It hardly seems like the appropriate header for a general "let's all pat ourselves on the back" thread -- it's a specific "pat myself back" thread. =)

      (thanks)

                A) Grats! =)

                B) If you use the calculator on this site, you will see that at 300 with a 5% mod and mastery 3, you will achieve a success rate of 95% for even the highest trivial (augs at 327, for example) combines. This levels the playing field at the top end of the tradeskill spectrum. The VT mod would therefore be more a vanity item than a real advantage to your future alchemy endeavors.

Vanity or not, alchemy was the skill that got me started, my first tradeskill if you will. Dabbled in tailoring and brewing before 25 but didn't even hit 100 skill in either before I started alchemy. I tried to stay at max skill in alchemy per level. I've wanted that orb since I can't remember when. Besides, I got the Hammer of the Ironfrost, 15% smith mod, and I'm only a 258 smith. Since my next goal is 300 smithing, I'd hate for my smithing to be better than my alchemy.

                    My current skills are:

                    Alchemy - 300 + 5% | Smithing - 258 + 15% | Tailoring - 190 + 5% | Baking - 191 + 5% | Fletching - 198 + 5% | Brewing - 240 + 5% | Jewelcraft - 198 + 5% | Pottery - 182 + 5%

The triv list on the site shows 1 combine at 347 trivial altho that may be wrong. even if it isn't when I'm looking at combining what is often several hundred k worth of components I'll take every little percent I can get.

                        Grats all you 300 alchemists.

Question for you guys; My shaman is lvl 65 atm with 200 alchemy+trophy. Do I have to get him from lvl 65-70 in order to raise alchemy from 200-300, or can I raise it to 300 at lvl 65? I have been combining stuffs that my ranger has accumulated in don missions without having any skillups so far, and therefore has got me wondering.

                        Any help is appreciated thanks.

I hit 300 when I was 67, and the cap was only raised when I was 66, so seems like you can hit 300 at 65.

You now don't need to raise your level to get from 200 to 300 in alchemy. With the introduction of DoN the level cap for alchemy was removed. I got a 25 shaman that is at 228 in alchemy.
300 in baking, brewing, pottery, jewelcraft, smithing, tailoring and fletching. 300 poison making. 300 alchemy. 300 research. 300 tinkering. 3300 total!! Luclin server.
