  • Invis potion

I just came back from a break from the game and remember that we got an invis potion a while back. Did they take it out or? I tried searching the site but couldn't find it. If it's still around could someone give me the name?

    Thanks!

Essence of Concealment. Supposed to be easier to find components for now and maybe fixed duration.

I'm pretty sure it is now fixed duration.

If you look in lucy, the difference between the fixed length invis spells and the random ones is that the random ones have a "Slot 1: Invisibility" or "Slot 1: Invisibility versus Undead" whereas the fixed ones don't.

A change was made to Essence of Concealment on 16/3 which was "Remove Slot 1: Invisibility".

This could actually be a very useful potion now - let's see how available the LDoN drops are.

I think they used to be only available by foraging in South Ro LDoNs. By them saying more readily available, I'd guess dropped off mobs in there too? If so, I would say they're still not going to be made much. Not that many folks do LDoNs anymore when DoN rewards are easier to obtain. I think I've made a single 10-dose once a while back. Haven't seen the components since.

        But mileage may vary...

The potions were quite useful before, albeit a bit too rare.

We've increased the rate at which you can forage those components, as well as added them to the various objects in the zones (chests, vases, etc), which should help the non-foragers obtain them.

Essence of Concealment versus Cloudy Potion
            Cost:
EoC costs about 30p in npc sold components plus a dropped/foraged component to make
CP costs about 12p from npc vendor
            Winner: CP

            Cast Time:
EoC takes 4 seconds to drink
            CP is clicky invis
            Winner: CP

            Rarity:
EoC required dropped/foraged component from Deepest Guk and hardly anyone is still doing LDoN anymore
CP is readily available from npc vendors
            Winner: CP

            Inventory Compactness:
EoC can be up to 10 charges per slot
CP is one charge per slot
Winner: EoC (but see note below)

            Duration:
CP can poof on you when you least expect (and want) it to
EoC says it lasts "up to 10 minutes"
            Winner: ?

Please tell me that EoC is fixed duration and the text is not been updated to reflect this. If it isn't fixed duration, then the only advantage to it is that you can have up to 10 charges in a single inventory slot.

note: I was just looking through Lucy's item list and noticed a 10 Dose Cloudy Potion out there. I've not seen it in stores, so I don't know if it really exists or not.

The 10-dose cloudy potion was a reward for a GM/Guide event some time back.

Essences of Concealment are also used for a Veeshan Peak quest. For a very very nice shield for casters. The foraged item needed for the EoC was only foragable in Guk-themed LDoNs, and I never foraged more than 2 or 3 per instance (with foraging around 180, and clicking off attack to mash that forage key every time it popped).
