I may be beating a dead horse, but the alchemy level cap needs to change with the times.
****************
As near as I can tell, Alchemy is the only tradeskill with a level cap. With my troll shaman, I can only 'raise' my tradeskill level about 5 points per level/level.
That means: at level 50, I can only raise my skill level to 130 (level-24 x5). Do I have this right? At level 64, I can achieve 200--bah! I'm already penalized xp-wise by being a troll. I was spending a long time at skill 60 working on an 82 combine with no movement, when the bulb of insight went off (I was level 36). Back to the boards here, and sure enough--capped!
<bonk> Madoc on the head repeatedly here! What's the sense in this? In every other tradeskill I can run a level 1 up to a GM I think.
/rant off
==>It's time to balance Alchemy with the other tradeskills. There's no logic or 'game balancing' in this archaic cap!
