How do i raise my skill cap?

I'm level 65 and just reached 200 skill, is there a way to increase it further other than modifer items?

Can't raise your base skill any more I'm afraid.

Have to get one of 3 mod items if you wish to have a higher effective skill:

Geerlok Alchemy Set - Easy to obtain, boosts skill to 210
Philosopher's Stone - No longer drops so would have to see if anyone ever sells one, boosts skill to 220
Umbracite Swarm Orb - Drops in Vex Thall, raid zone semi rare, boosts skill to 230

You can also invest a (few - alot) of AA's in the following:

ARCHTYPES
Alchemy Mastery
Ability reduces the chance of failure when making Alchemy based potions.
The first point reduces the chance of failure by 10%, the second by 25% and the third by 50%.

Alchemy Mastery increase tradeskill caps further (not sure how much on this one yet)

I don't think there are additional Alchemy AAs on the OoW tab. Salvage, which gives a chance to return components that would be lost on failure, is there, however.

I read in UgZug's guide (http://216.239.57.104/search?q=cache...+alchemy&hl=en) that the Alchemy skill cap is 205. It this wrong?

It's wrong. The 205 cap was a bug that occured with alchemy & research. 200 is the max. Sorry.
