  • Alchemy/Poison Making and OoW Trivials

I understand that Poison Making can go to a skill of 250, whereas Alchemy is limited to 200.

Since you can have either a Shaman or a Rogue upgrade the augments, why would you ever have a shaman do it? A rogue would have a much less chance of failure at maximum skill level.

Are the trivial levels different for Alchemy and Poison Making to upgrade augments?

Yes, the trivial levels are different for each It seems to be working out to almost exactly the same sucess percent so long as a geerlok is used.

      shaman

My guildies has a 15% mod for alchemy and he says this take his skill level to 230. Since my rogue only can get to 252, I think the shaman is actually the better choice to do the combine with all other things being equal. Kinda seems like rogues need their trivial levels lowered to be the same as shaman.

        Trivials

        Lol

I've got over a year played (no bazaar time) ... 350+ AA's ... and have never SEEN one of those extended Alchemy items. Very rare.

Grant them to alchemists and we can talk

Problem is there used to be a 10% alchemy mod from Grieg's end, but from all I hear it was taken out when Grieg's got revamped.

The 15% mod is from Vex Thal, so unless you have the key, or a guild willing to go through all the work needed to mget keyed, then farm the mob that drops it your out of luck. Seems the best most of us can hope for is the GM trophy.

Philosophers Stone: +10% alchemy. Dropped from Alchemist Valrona in Grieg's End. No longer in the game.

Umbracite Swarm Orb: +15% alchemy. Dropped in Vex Thal... forget the mob, still in the game.

The phil stone is droppable, orb is not.
