new potions research - looking for a startpoint

Anyone found a hint where to start looking for new potions yet?
gonna start hailing like every NPC in abysmal to see if i can find something.
so far did the quest of 10000001 dyes to be able to filter sludge samples. no idea what those are good for yet tho

Well, I'll tell ya the way we discovered new recipes the last time alchemy was revamped;

Lots of plat and pulled up a chair to the alchemy vendor and tried every combination of herbs we could think of

There's a lot more new herbs than that.

Which herbs are you finding that don't have any known recipes? The Abysmal vendors have most or all of the herbs from the previous sets of alchemy potions; could that be causing confusion? Or did we miss some?

lots of herbs on Lita Hegeway that are not even in the EQTC database yet.

Plus there is the dropped then refined sludge that I'm not sure what to do with that Lita talks about. I have a couple but haven't tried combining them with much yet.
