    Maddoc -

Is there any difference between the snare potions for the end user (range, duration, etc.) or are the later ones just extra trivial bridges for the alchemists?

The spells are not identical -- Each tier have different resist mods, making them progressively more beneficial (this applies to all thrown potions).
      hehe he already said it.

      Maker of Picnics.

Oh, I think there might be a small problem.
They start out at 4.4 pp for level I.

Doh! Thanks Eniamn, I missed it.

P.S. I cross posted some of Maddoc's replies to the Shaman's Crucible Alchemy forum. They were asking many of the same questions.

I know the spdat supposidly isn't 100% accurate but lucy is currently showing every single one of the new potions with the same resist mod (-1). Just wanted to bring it to attention if it is indeed a bug, if not, feel free to ignore me.

                Nope, that's not a bug

They won't necessarily show their full potential from a parse of the spells file. Sneaky, sneaky, I am.

                    These rock

Went from zero skill (20 or 25 after I trained) to 180 in about 4 hours and for under 5k making these and doing the quests. 11pp was my cost per level I and 12pp per level III which don't trivial until 227.

The Stun version will be the most useful.

With 150ish cha they sold back for about 50% of cost.

This was all done on day one of GoD.

Yes. A good skill up path... with reasonable sell back... and usable effects that there's a market for.

Who are you, and how did you sneak onto the EQ Dev Team!

BTW, if you ever attend a fan-faire... I'm gonna have to buy you a drink or three.

I knew I read the alchemy forum for a reason.

Maddoc, it's AWESOME to hear that you're introducing new ways to skill up expensive skills.

It's AWESOME to hear that you're also not objected to tradeskilled-results selling back for just under the cost of the components.

I'm quite encouraged to hear this. I just hope it spreads from Alchemy, and into other skills as well.

                          ....
On a similar note, (and I'm VERY sorry for the hijack), was the reduction of the Flame Bolt (tinkering recipe) trivial by 100 intentional? Seems like it might have been a nice skillup path, but with the last patch, it's been knocked down by a hundred.

                            New GoD Potions not working??

these dont work when you try to throw them.. Either you are to close or to far from the mob.. I have tired a bunch of times and get anything to leave my hand.. Has anyone else had this problem?? I know as shamans we dont have a throwing skill but think we should still be able to use these..

If you have any ideas what I could be doing wrong or missing please let me know..

I'll look at the range on these, see if they're problematic, and if so, adjust them accordingly It won't be an instantaneous thing (since my list of things to look at is getting really large nowadays...), but I'll definately get to it.

Flame Bolt did have it's trivial reduced, it was just a little too easy.

Thanks for looking into it.. It might be something other than the range but I am not sure.. Its like I can't even use it.. I try to throw it and nothing happens.. Too close or too far...
