  • Are Quintessence Of Knowledge NoFail?

Granted I haven't made hundreds of these at a single sitting, but I have yet to fail on a combine when I make them for my mage.

Just curious is anybody has failed at these.

Some points in Alchemy are required to attempt the combine. Both a ranger and a level 16 shaman got the 'You are too inexperienced in your craft to even consider attempting this combination' message.

It looks like it's a no-fail trivial, but has a minimum skill to attempt, which effectively makes this a shaman-restricted combine. There is no Restricted flag on the eqtraders recipe as-is.

All alchemy is shaman restricted, and shaman > 24 or 25 or whatever it is who's trained at least 1 point into alchemy. Nobody else can hit the combine button on the bag. This used to make medicine bags a great choice of bag for non-alchemists since you couldn't acidentally destroy everything in it.

My shaman is L37 ans I put 2 skill points into alchemy and get a "You are too inexperenced" message. So there is a minimum skill level on this combine.

Added a Skill Required > 38 (If Level 37 added spent Practice point for the first time, skill is at 37, and a 2nd would make it 38).

I believe that alchemy doesn't work like that. I'm almost positive that at level 24 putting 1 point in gives you 1 point of skill. Might wanna double check with Verdandi though.

/nod. For alchemy, training once at level 25 (the earliest it's available) gives you a skill of 1.
