just an observation that the prices on celess on maelin are creeping under 3pp each... i used to pay newbs to make them for me, 1plat per essence, but i think this is actually cheaper

first, solvents cost approximately 1/15 of scents, so even doubling their cost wouldn't approach the current cost of the essence.

second, scents were (and are) also sold in akanon and qeynos, at the caster guilds i think.

Actually, you can buy the scent in PoK. One of the dark elves that supplies poison components also carries Scent of Marr, although its easy to miss, since it just looks like another vial.

I love my collapsible mortar! It's really made making CEs much less of a PITA. Now I stock up a few stacks of solvents and SoMs, and make them while I forage.
