  • tailoring too hard? bah!

having just spent 90 minutes sewing together a single tunic, with a sewing machine, never mind the time i spent cutting the fabric yesterday, i have to say that anyone who complains about tailoring being too hard needs to try it for themself in real life a fancy gown done by hand, with embroidery, can take months, if not years to finish...

Ahh, but how long did you spend farming parts for that tunic? Did you need to beg a chanter to bang out mana vials for it? What level was the mob that dropped the parts - I'm betting that you didn't have to kill a single lion, bear, wolf or 10' tall spider for the compents either.

To add to it all, you used a MACHINE to boot - my characters only having needles, thread and thier sewing kits!!!!!!!!!

Pah! You've got it easy - Sony should either nerf your machine or make them droppable for everyone - I've easily spent 90 minutes just farming for one peice of a sewing combine - I bet you were able to buy all your components from a merchant.

    @#$% spoiled, rotten, RL tradeskillers...

yeah, but i did have to do some merchant mining to find one with a decent linen and no charisma gear or shammy buffs, so the stuff was expensive

Not to mention the joys of ripping out and restitching, hemming, linings, grain....

As a RL seamstress, I wholeheartedly agree that the game version is MUCH easier. :P

nothing quite like the joy of realizing the tension on the machine was wrong and having to rip out a half foot of stitches
