****** ........... The whole 7th Shawl is done except the last combine in my tailoring kit. Spent weeks skilling up to finish this quest and Im 20(?) points away from trivial on the last combine. Yes I admit it Im afraid to do it.
I dont want to farm anymore, I dont want to skill up anymore, I dont want to bazaar hunt anymore. BUT I want that dammed shawl. /rant off

If you are worried, skill up on the velium hound fur combines (soft fur padding), you'll need them for the 8th shawl anyway.

Too many times have I hesitated on an important combine, and then failed.

The only superstition I have about combines is not to hesitate. I always seem to succeed when I just bear down and push the button (pretending I don't care).

6th shawl is the tough tailoring combine. If you succeeded that, you should be fine on the final combine for 7th shawl.

I succeeded it on the first attempt with lower tailoring skill than you have.

Just do gnome LoY ribbons - head out to Steamfront with a hundred plat or so, slaughter minos and auction and dumpster dive for steamfront spring water - you'll want about half a backpack or so to get to 162 tailoring.

I waited til 158 to do shawl 7, as I had the silks on hand to skillup that far. OTOH, I did shawls 5 and 6 at 118 tailoring without a failure.

Put everythnig needed in the tailoring kit. Equipped my geerlok put the cursor over the combine button, closed my eyes, clicked....

You have fashioned the items together to make something new...
