I understand if you need to put banner ads on a site to cover costs or whatnot, perhaps even the occasional poppup. But theres a line. Music blasting out my speakers, racing car noises and "Work from home" is too much.

I stopped going to casters realm because of all the ads, and the fact that a good bit of the information is either incorrect or outdated.

I used to go to casters realm to just browse the information. Now I don't go there unless absolutely necessary. Popups are out of control. So sad when you look at a few things on a site, and when you are done you have had 8 new windows of popups open.

They are making nocall lists for phones, they need to make nopopup lists for the internet now.

Hmm, interesting, I only get 1 or 2 pop ups whenever I go to allah's, compared to what I get at caster's realm.

Get Mozilla. Ever since I started using it, I have absolutely no pop-ups. It is a Good Thing (tm). It does a better job than Pop-Up stopper, plus I have better control over external windows opening up that I open up on my own. Mozilla is smart enough to recognize the difference between the two.

Pop-ups are evil. Very, VERY evil.

Grrr.

I pay for premium service on every site I use on a regular basis. Partly becuase of pop up but mostly to support the site out of gratitude.

Went to Casters Realm to look something up at about 2am this morning, when all of a sudden a tank rumbles through the screen with a general shouting orders. Yeah, I dont think I'll be visiting Caster's Realm for a long, long while...

Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> uncheck Enable Javascript :P (Netscape 4.x)

Disables a handful of nice site features, but disables a TON of annoying ones, and makes the browser far more stable on 98.
