Where are all the jacinths and black sapphires?!?!

For goodness sake! You would think these gems were rare or something! Guess what? THEY AREN'T and charging me 400pp+ for them in the bazaar is insane!

I think PoP was a good idea alright. It got most of the 65s out of OS etc leaving room for the 50+ who get the best XP out of there. Only problem is, it has also removed almost all of the 55+ as well and because there is rarely people in OS these gems are becoming uncommon. /sigh Of course had I known this was going to happen I would not have vendored almost every single Jacinth and Black Sapphire that I came across ages back. Hindsight is a wonderful thing... So it adding them to the PoP drop table ****it!

/rude jacinths, the only thing that holds me back from making my seals to attempt my trophies when I have the plat.

Were are they all - probobly in combine heaven or were-ever the stuff from failed combines go thanks to that guy who had supposedly failed 18 trophy combines a few weeks ago.

But seriously, don't sweat it - just do some merchant mining in PoK and CS and you should find all the jac and BS you need for your trophy.

Try Thurgadin, too. Anything that drops in Velious and is often vendor fodder can usually be found there if you check enough vendors. I know I found some there back when I was doing my trophy, about a year ago.

I farmed gems last night in seb and in a couple hours got 4 jacinths and 1 black sapphire, so they're still there.

What I find strange is that in Dulak (part of LOY) is that I consistently get blue diamonds and diamonds from the pirates on the ships, but have never picked up a black sapphire or jacinth from them.

Has anyone else noticed this or is it just my imagination?

Actually, there seems to be tons of jacinths on RN, dunno where they all came from. And I quit buying black sapphires after I found them on every merchant I went by.

They aren't terribly common anymore on E'ci.

Someone finds them because I still run across them on vendors every once in a while. Use to I could find them on vendors several times per week, now I am only finding them once every other week. Anyhow, point is, they are still around and you just have to be vigilant and look for em.

I got most of mine of vendors and in PoG. I did end up purchasing some in the bazaar, as I ended up needing 7 or each before I finally got my Alchemy trophy.

Other than keeping diamonds on me instead of cash, I vendor all the gems I get, all the time. I get 10pp less than BDs (eventually) sell for in the bazaar from vendors, and don't have to wait.

Jacinths and black sapphires drop in chardok as well, pretty much anyplace in RoK you have level 50+ critters around.
