Bazaar LD Trader Issues

Ok, I'm on povar and before POP or LOY (forget which) I could keep my trader logged 24/7.

Now every morning I find my mule logged out. Is everyone experiencing this or does anyone know how I can improve my situation?

Its absolutely annoying and the only time I get to sell stuff.

Yes, I have seen this also.

No real reason that I can determine. Maybe just excessive lag... or time-outs, or maybe someone being very creative in ways to generate lag in an effort to bump traders off to open a slot for their trader.

I was in the bazaar for a little bit yesterday, and within a few minutes was turned into a wolf (through a share-wolf form spell MGB) and had a MOD-ROD appear in my hand.

It really would be nice to have the bazaar (at least) be restricted so that MGBs and things that create items on people's cursors to NOT function. If you really want the MGB or MOD-ROD go to SH or Nexus to get it. Maybe the Arena in the bazaar if one insists.

No... Only effect I see, besides the obvious mod-rod in hand, is the additional traffic between the server and ALL of the Clients who were in range of the MGB. That traffic is "Place a mod-rod on the cursor of the character you are supporting". For 6 folks, no big deal... for 60+ folks crowded together it produces significant amounts of traffic the server must support.

I've only had this happen once, but I'm waiting to see it happens again. I was logging in with my trader and was in for nearly 3 days continuos when I got dropped out of trader mode. I didn't crash or get logged out, nor was I moved to far from the platform (I was able to enter trader mode right where I was). At this point, it's just a confusing anomaly for me. /boggle

this was a chronic problem for quite awhile after PoP, but by the time LoY came around it was fixed for me.

If you haven't already, turn off your badword filter.

The last time I ran into this problem, that was the fix for me.

I have the filter off...especially since /gu wouldn't be readable without it (bunch foulmouths!).

Its very frusterating...I can't keep trader up for ANY length of time now. Stinks, maybe I should turn all my settings down, but not sure how that will help...I always just stare at the floor anyway.

Try turning off /shout, /auction and /ooc in the "options" window.

And set /serverfilter to ON.

It's also possible that you may be suffering from stage one of the crash feature they started randomly including for people as of the 6/11 patch - if you start crashing to desk during play for no reason after the next patch, then you'll know you've had that feature added.

If it's more of a LD issue, you need to -

turn off all spell affects
turn on all filters for spells/ability/combat messages
turn off bard songs
look at the ground
adjust your clip plane to 100% then back down to zero
turn off your particle densities
turn off shout/ooc/guild

This gives you the best overall chance of not being able to be knocked out by general spam. Now, if someone launches a very specific and direct spam attack against you (ie/repeatedly hailing you) or your general area, you might still get knocked out, but otherwise, you should be 90% kewl.
