  • ARgg Why Bother >250 POP Smithing

Why bother with PoP Smithing? Rec. level of 63, some pieces req. level of 46 and NO level 63 would wear this stuff - and you cannot sell it to a level 30. My god, Split Paw Hide Gloves have better stats for that level compared to the PoP ones!
I could see making if my skills increased, but NOoooo.

Ohh wait! I'll just go use my tailoring Skills and try at failing on my 14 piece of Studded Wyvern Hide Armor my skill is at 220.

OK ranting time done - off to the real world - I'm doing biz with wonderful customers who like what I do and give me credit for all my hard work! Yea sure and monkey's can fly

I would say its the folks who want 1k for a midnight stone, or 20k for a drop of pure rain that really killed off PoP smithing. Are the stats nice? some are. Are they worth what you have to charge to cover the cost of parts? no. Most of the blue diamond cultural is better than some of the PoP smithed stuffs.

My shaman is pretty happy with his hurricane chain items. And I have yet to find arms for my SK with comperable HP and AC - I've even learned to live with the wisdom and no int on them until I get ornate.

sometimes i really really wonder if someone coded the stats right on pieces of armor. Wis on high lvl EncMagWizNec armor? Int on Sha ogre cult? odd odd. maybe a number got put into a wrong slot.

then there's the whole list (that i cannot recreate from memory) about the Elemental Planar armor having the wrong SERIES of stats. Like the Fire having Water stats, or something.

I'm not trying to say that Sony intentionally did something wrong, just maybe that they flubbed with entering data in a mainframe thing, and no one's really caught it yet, or had time to fix it.

yet another reason why there should be at least one more person assigned to tradeskills at sony (namely me, of course, heh).
