I'm surprised I sell anything at all these days. I'm on West Coast, so I'm one of the last to leave and go to bed (well, US people anyway). Pretty much every night, I try to log in trader, and there is 500 people.

      /who trader
      500
      /who trader
      500
      <15 minutes of checking>
      /who trader
      499 people
      *hits trader button*

So then I go to bed, and later the character goes LD because I'm never connected for the entire night. I went back one time, less than an hour had gone by and character was disconnected. I just hit ctrl-alt-del and shutdown computer for the night, wasn't worth trying to fight my way back in.

Can also click the Bazaar window's "Welcome" button for a trader count (wish there were a /slash command for that welcome).

But ya, the trader limit is a royal pain ... although thankfully on Tunare, its mostly only full Friday-Monday ish, mostly in the mornings, and slots are available in the evening and most weekdays.

Veeshan has the same predicament. My son thinks I have a bad problem and am considered pathetic because I refuse to goto bed without having trader setup and going. He has threatened to wake up in the middle of the night and take me out of trader mode....yes he has a death wish. Even so...I have thought about this and if there were no trader limits, the bazaar would be even more over run than it currently is causing even more lag than what we already experience. I for one will deal with doing the /who trader routine and waiting for that one person to go LD or stop trading than not to be able to sell anything at all.. perhaps it is an addiction of sorts...can't help myself....I love that plat!!!

Karana is pretty crowded. Generally the Bazaar is a little over 400 in the evening, and at 500 nearly every night when people log.

I think what they should do is add a queue when the Bazaar fills up. You sit in the stall, type /bazaarqueue and it adds you to a list. Whenever someone drops out of Trader mode the next person on the queue automatically gets added. That way anyone can go to bed at night and at least get sometime in the Bazaar. I think they should also set it up so people who sell out of stuff automatically get kicked out of Trader mode.

Wow, I've never, ever been unable to set up as a Trader. I thought Karana just wasn't as entrepreneurial. Are most people with this problem west coasters, or east coast but on into the wee hours?

I do know that this weekend Emarr was at its worst ever...I got in and set up but within ten minutes or so it was at 500.

The amount of people complaining was unreal...the length of time some people spent complaining was even moreso....

...kinda gave me the giggles, actually. If I can't get into trader mode, I just log. But lots of people can't bear it, I guess.

Well, none for the welcome, but /who trader always works to get me a count...

I would rather have the 500 limit than not. Lets say they upped it to 1000 traders, about 500 of which would be shoved into those two stalls behind the banks. Mass LDs, zone crashes, no thanks. Its a slideshow for me most of the time anyway even with clip plane at 0%, I would hate to see it get worse.

And on Lanys I rarely see it get to 500. It was at 454 last night which was a high as I have seen it in a long time.

Yeah, we push 200 to 250 on busy nights. Tough to get a good spot.
