  • Rave? Rant? Not really sure...

Last night I finally decided it was time to raise my tailoring skill above 150. I have already GM'd jewelcraft, and decided to skill up a bit on the ceremonial solstice robes. I spent what little money I had left and pounded out 2 gem studded chains, figuring they would last me quite some time, with an extra just in case I got lucky with one.

I went through the tedium of all the sub-combines and made enough materials for 40 attempts. Loaded all my Int gear and sat on my lucky rock to start the short burst of combines.

First combine, skill-up! Second combine, skill-up! Third combine, skill-up! At this point I am feeling pretty good about myself. Fourth combine, no skill-up, but instead I have a little red robe on my cursor. "Phew", I think, I sure am glad I made an extra chain! Fifth combine, skill-up. Sixth combine, skill-up AND a little red robe.

Six combines, 2 robes, 5 skill-ups... no more chains and flat broke until I can sell the robes on the already crowded market.

I am still not sure whether I should be jumping for joy at making the robes and all the skill-ups, or crying over the loss of my last 2 chains for quite some time. Guess that shawl combine will have to wait...

Well, since you can't hunt in Nightmare, I would be happy

If you can (and hunt the spiders ACROSS the river that drop silk), I would cry.
