  • Grr - what am i doing wrong?! [pottery]

Something isn't right here. On the pottery board where people list their skillup rates from 200 to 250 or so, it seems to average around 50 per point ( some much higher, some lower). I just did probably 200 planar encrusted steins at skill 201 to get 202. Thats just rediculous. If its gonna take me 200+ items per skill point i guess ill give up on pottery - so not doing 10000 items to make GM.

Do certain items raise faster then others? Or is 100-200 per point normal?

I know in tailoring occacsionally people will hit a stretch of 100 or 200 combines without a skillup. I think it's just the RNG being a PITA.

It's just the RNG playing with you. You may go 200 combines for this point then get three points in your next 10 combines. or not /shrug

Worst run I've had was just over 300 and the worst I've heard of was over 1200.

Good luck with it and don't give up now!

Also remember that people are posting an average... for JC, from 190 to 220 or so I would get one skillup per 80 combines (my INT was below 200  oops)

But, sometimes it would go like this:

        120 combines
        skillup
        60 combines
        skillup
        3 combines
skillup (cringe because I know what's coming)
        180 combines
        skillup

You get the point. Don't give up - take a break if need be, but know that it was just a bad day with the RNG.
