  • Yew leaves

Holy ground spawns Batman! Finding these on the ground is like looking for a needle in a haystack. And foraging them seems to be just about as rare.

I recently found 15 black panther skins on a vendor for 1 gp each (yay stupid person who sold them!). So I figure, once I reach 240 tailoring, I will take a swing at making some stuff with them. In the mean time, I will try to collect 15 yew leaves here and there (after all I am not only 10 points away)

So last night, I decided was one of those here and there moments. I think to myself "I will just go to WL until I either forage one or find one on the ground, then log and go to bed." Famous last words.....

An hour later, my eyes are bleary from looking at too much green and my forage button is worn out from pressing it each time it pops and I STILL don't have ONE STINKING leaf.

THis has to be the worst tannin required of any tailoring I have done so far, including cultural hehe

Heh, Once I was safely in WL, I had no problem getting a Yew leaf. It was my first forage, as I recall.

I'd love to say I was lucky, but my trip had a little problem. I ported in right after a patch. Since my CoV faction is still low, Wuoshi calmly rooted me and killed me. (It's creepy how quietly it's done. Just 3 spell sounds, and one gate fizzle on my part, and I'm dead.)

I was afraid to log in and have my corpse decay for 2 days. I was begging for help from another account, and I could not come up with anyone who could. I found a CoV-ally druid who checked for me, but I did not think to have him drag my corpse away from Wuoshi. When I thought of that, he was on a raid.

So I finally make the trek through KD invis, and right as I get to WL, a guild is killing Wuoshi. I've never been happier to see an NPC corpse.

The lesson here: one way or another, foraging in WL is going to punish you. And I need to work on my CoV faction.

I got a big order for haze panther armor, so I spent several nights straight killing ever dang panther in WL, foraging the whole time.

            Like 4 nights. 4-6 hours a night.

            3 haze panther skins.
3 stacks of black panther skins.

            NOT A SINGLE FRIGGIN' LEAF.

After that, I bought every single leaf or tannin that was ever available in the bazaar, no matter what the cost.

Woushi USED to be scary, now she can be beaten down with less than 1 group. Probably even soloed by a shaman with the right gear/spells.

Hey George, look at my yew leaf tannin. Can I keep it George? I will love it and hug it and keep it in a bag in my bank. I won't sell it or try to combine it with anything George. I just want to keep the pretty yew leaf tannin. Can I, George?
