    From EQDruids:

At E3 I was able to talk directly to the programmers on several issues and these are the big ones that I know you will want to know about first:

The reward for the flags will probably be a charm.

Flags will not be necessary for moving into the zones, but will continue to be around so you can increase the above charms potency.

There will be level limits to the zones when the flags are removed. Right now they are thinking 55 for tier two zones, and 62 for tier three. Which means you don't have to worry about the little newbie twinks running around ruining your fun.

They are adding the ability to transfer items in your bank from one character to another on the same account. So you can share money and droppable items through one bank account instead of having to use mules to trade items (no drop of course will not transfer through).

These are the big items of news, I'll have a more complete write-up of the whole experience plus more news tomorrow afternoon after I see the Matrix 2 tomorrow morning!
/em rereads the ability to transfer items in the bank from character to character

Wow, it's like my bank space just multiplied by 7!

I always wondered why you couldn't transfer items between characters in "explore" mode on the char select screen.

I really hope that is what they do... with the only limitation be that they are in the same zone.

Would be a bit buggy on a CR to give an item to a char somewhere way far away.

I would LOVE this... I don't have a second account and I hate to ask friends to waste time to transfer a lot of stuff so I'm never organized. The day this goes live I'll be spending a whole day just moving stuff around... heaven!

I thought April Fools Day was last month...

Hehe, I can see it now:

                Charm of the Worthy
                AC:1
                STR:2
                CHA:6
                Race:All
                Class:All
This charm gains power as you gain more planes flags

Hehe, sorry, just my thought of charms so far(so much potential).

As for transfering items from one character to another, I can see alot of problems with this "My fungi disappeared!" "My brother took 100k from my bank!" and so on. If they can guarentee saftey on it though....how am i ever going to fill up 700 extra slots?! WTB random junk to fill slots!

Anyone got a link to the original post from EQ Druids? Not that I doubt you, Myrron, I doubt the person who originally posted it. It could all be true, but I get leery when I read claims like this that are impossible to verify. Doesn't mean it might not be totally legit, just that I'd like to have something else to go on before I get my hopes up.

It's a violation of the EULA to share an account, even with a family member. If you are robbed by your brother I doubt SOE will give you much sympathy.

You can always just rob him blind and delete his character if he does it

Ok, does anybody have a link to the post.

I went to EQdruids earlier, and never found it.

That is a link to the main site, and I don't see this there...

If I am blind, and that was the link to this information, please tell me.

Edit: I guess I am blind, or wasn't expecting it to be 3 posts down after 2 posts we have all seen. I thought it was more recent, anyhow, thanks.

I went looking there but can't find this particular write-up. I'm not terrifically familiar with the site there but I looked around the main site and through some of the forums and can't find it.

It's encouraging to hear that it came from someone reliable though! I don't mean to be a skeptical snot, just trying to avoid getting ground by the rumor mill.

Edit: Doh, found it after reading Delfontes' edit hehe. Partway down the page, titled "E3 Everquest news 5/14/03". More to come tomorrow

Ok a little more in depth reporting now that I have had a chance to sleep.

                            Everquest:

You will see for sure 2 more expansions (they are already planned) with plans for more. But 2 is for sure.

The new expansion that is coming out, will be mainly dungeons. It will be an expansion that focuses on groups instead of raid forces (like in PoP) allowing a larger audience to enjoy the expansion.

There will be content from level 15 all the way up to level 65 with a new twist. The dungeons will have changeable content. Not random, but you will be able to trigger different encounters in a dungeon depending on what you do when entering/inside the dungeon. Sounds very cool so far.

                            Everquest II:

All I can say again is wow. They are really pushing the envelope in this game. It is all coming together extremely well and there is a lot of thought going in to the game for people that want to do more than hack/slash all day long.

You will be very impressed with the game, and expect the beta to be coming soon.

                            Lords of Everquest:

I was able to see a demo of this game, and it is a very well designed game. Anyone that has enjoyed Warcraft III or Starcraft is going to really like the gameplay.

Extremely well done AI, allows your characters to move about without you having to micromanage all your characters. I was definitely impressed.

                            EQOA - Frontiers:

BIG expansion to the original EQOA, definitely upgraded graphics, all sorts of improvements going into the game including an auction ability. This is definitely one to watch if you are enjoying EQOA.

That's the big news on the EQ front. The other news for me, was while I was in the Everquest tent, I had the fun of meeting Lou Ferrigno (for those that don't remember the name, think the Incredible Hulk!). Definitely a fun plus to my day
