Componet costs

Anyone else notice tradeskill componets costs going up since the ear ring quest was solved? I hate to say it, but I've stopped doing tradeskills atm and devoted myself to farming. I'm making a LOT more plat that way atm. There are certain componets I can't keep in stock. One in particular I have doubled my prices on...and people still keep buying it. Anything to keep from farming I guess. It's kinda depressing having thrown a whole lot of time/money into tradeskills and making more in one day of no risk farming, then I do in a week of selling tradesskilled good in the bazaar.

I am making CE from rune/page drops off things I quad... they sell fast at 5pp on brell. For the past few weeks it is the only 'tradeskill' thing I've sold, as I've been power leveling myself.

What does that say when a no fail combine that costs 1.5pp each if you buy them, and cost me whatever that solvent costs, sells for 5pp, hehehe.

Oh well, I go with the flow, if I spend hours making GLM and can't sell as fast as I can sell CE, when the cost was more and the work was extreme... I sell what the people want .

Know why Celestial Essences, which cost between 1gp 5cp and 1pp 6gp 5cp to make, and is a no fail combine, goes for 5-8pp each? Ever make a hundred of them? Or a thousand? Personally, I have made nearly 15,000 (that's fifteen-thousand) of the cursed things, doing my and several other people's PotC quests. Not just one of the items, mind you, but <b>seven</b> (Sickle, pie, idol, picnic (had help, thanks Teyvan), stein, rod, cabbage). Not customers, mind you, but friends, guildees, and the few folks who actually think socialization is more important than xp or "phat lewt" <img src=http://www.boomspeed.com/sinuuyanea/hdrazz.gif alt="Yeah, all 10 of 'em!">. Even when I switched to doing solely the "easy" (for me, at least) items for profit (sickle, idol, pole, cabbage), I made my own essences for a while, until I started having pain. I started pleading for help from friends, who ended up being driven mad from doing only 200 or so of them. Before I hit 250 smithing, I started paying 5-8pp per Celestial Essence...HAPPILY. <img src=http://www.boomspeed.com/sinuuyanea/feliciachaohum.gif alt="And still do!">
