I got an email with the following text:
and a 196kb large zip file attachment claiming to be the newest version of the Eqwindows utility. (Same text as on the official site)
HOWEVER, this file's size is over 170k larger than the one you can download from the www.eqwindows.com (original site) so I'm pretty sure it's has a virus infection, probably aimed to steal your EQ username / password.
Why am I posting it here? Because the recipient list of the email starts with this board's moderators' emails and the highest postcount posters' emails.....
As a reminder, never, ever run any executable file you get in an email no matter where it came from if the security of your PC is important for you.

Subject: EQWindows - Latest Beta
4/12/03
2.35a is attatched to this email. This version addresses the issue of the mouse locking in other windows while 1 is zoning. The method I am using has caused problems for EQW users in the past, primarily with sound. If you have new problems with this version set Multithreaded=FALSE in eqw.ini and post your experiences in the Bugs forum.
Keep in mind the EQW window switch hotkey currently doesn't work while zoning so you will have to use alt-tab to switch windows.
