  • Much h8 for the RNG!!!

edit: Comments removed by a very perturbed DenMom and then this post moved back so I can apply a clue-by-four loudly and publicly. While this was not a death "threat" per se, it was a death wish, and that's ALSO unacceptable here. Folks, this is a GAME. You do NOT wish permanent harm, much less death on ANYONE due to a game in THIS community. Period. Take it elsewhere. It is unwelcome here. Further offenses will lead to removal of posting rights.

doing Smithing right now, 207 skill, 76 combines of shadowscream without a skillup.. still waiting for my skillup but I'm out of components.

Too much of an attack there buddy. This room is to scream at the RNG, not to make death threats on the designers of the game.

Death threat would be that HE would go after the designer. Wishing the person dead or to die, while not encouraged and possibly against the rules as well, is not a death threat. Just my observation. Everyone hates the RNG at times. I myself do. I can't wait until it pays me back...though I think making the 6th shawl at 128 Tailoring pretty much used up all my luck with it. =/

201 blacksmithing..... 370 combines with no skill up. Acrylia and Old dwarven Cultural... 237 WIS for all of those...

I'm not making death threats... but the RNG is the most vile piece of code I've ever seen or heard of. *shrug*

Oddly enough, it's only his smithing that's doing that. During that time, i've taken baking to 196 and brewing to 188, tailoring to 87, etc. etc. etc.

          *sigh*

Please don't make personal attacks designed at the makers of the
game... Granted, it's not exactly a threat, but wishing someone dead borders on an attack.

76 Combines at 207 skill without a skillup? Sounds pretty normal to me. I don't do a lot of smithing, but I now baking, brewing, and fletching were much more painful much earlier in the process (i.e. 180+).

The designers of the game are/were not trying to "screw over" anyone. That is how the system works. If it is too hard, or takes too much time, quit. We all have our horror stories. Mine happens to be 350-450 (I lost count) Picnic combines at 202 to get to 203. I complained, but I didn't wish anyone dead over it. I smiled, I shook my head, I cursed once or twice, and I kept going. Making something that is worthwhile to obtain also difficult is not "screwing over" a class of individuals who wants it.

Good luck with your smithing, maybe you've just hit a rough point. When you hit 250, you'll realize it was worth it in the long run.
