  • Customer Service Let-Down

While not specifically trade skill related I needed to vent on this one.

On Sunday I did the Aid Garuuk quest in PoK. I took all the items to Bregna who now resides in Neriak and handed in all the quest items to him. Unfortunately I did not receive my reward. So I sent a petition and was contacted by a Guide. He asked me some questions and told me he would flag it for a GM. Well 5 hours later I had not heard from a GM so I logged off since it was late.

Monday I sent in a petition about my previous petition. I talked to another Guide that told me he could find no record of my pervious petition. So I submitted another one and he told me he would flag it for a GM. He also told me if I didn't hear back to check the next day. Needless to say I did not hear from a GM.

Tuesday I send in another petition. Again I was contacted by a Guide, who again said there was no record of my last petition and asked me to submit a new one. He also told me he would flag it for a GM and that if I did not hear from one I should send in an e-mail to the xegony GM using the website. Guess what, no GM all night.

Wednesday. I decide to send in my e-mail to the Xegony GM using the EQ website. No response, no reply, nothing.

Thursday I log in and send off a petition having not received any reply e-mail. I talk to the Guide that I talked to on Tuesday. I explain the situation, he tells me that there is no record of my original petition and I should send another one. OK, so I send it in, he "flags" it for a GM and that is that. 3 hours later I get a tell from a GM. I explain my problem to him and he asks me when this occured, I told him on Sunday. The GM then informs me that there is no record on thier system indicating that the turn in had occured and that unfortunately he can not help me. He then asks me if there is anything further, I tell him no that was it. He thanks me and tells me to have a good evening.

So needless to say I am not only out the 1k plat I spent on the quest piece and the troll illusion potions I needed for the quest, I also didn't get my **** ear ring.
Come on guys, one more pull. What is the worst that could happen?

Ouch - it's stories like this that have me take screen shots of any discussions I do with guides - that way I can just email CS and raise holy hell with them.
      Cigarskunk!
No more EQ for me till they fix the crash bug.

Ugh, that's awful. Reminds me of when my factions were wiped long, long ago, and I was told they couldn't find any evidence of it so they couldn't do anything. I'd spent countless hours working on factions, because it was fun. It wasn't as much fun the second time around. :? Or the time Fergul poofed in the midst of the Kromriff leggings fight, and after a week and a half of pestering guides and gm's and finally emailing customer service directly, I was told in so many words that I was lying. Screenshots, logs, and witnesses were all fabrications, apparently.

But on the brighter side, when the zone reset in the middle of my 8th shawl war last weekend, I was given a replacement issue kit and expedition orders within 45 minutes of the reset. I was most impressed! *cheers for GM Daelynn* I guess we just got lucky, there was a visible GM on the server at the time it happened and I got helped before they left.
