  • Why do I even bother?

So anyway, I have decided to finally get off my tail after 4 years of playing and work on some tradeskills. This is for a variety of reasons, but the main one is that I really want to gm at least one.

That said, I was hoping to make some money as well, even though I know the markets favor the buyers. I can't believe some of the prices for the pre-combines/componets to make some of the items though. 65pp for a brick of acrylia? 5pp each for a sipder silk? some animal skins selling for more than BD's and all for more than the finished products in many cases.

I swear I may just give up and start dumpster diving. I can make a lot more money with a lot less effort that way.

...If only I didn't care about the braging rights to the trophies.

        Last night on Xegony...

        Lava Rocks 50 - 75 pp each

        Windstones 250 - 350 pp each

        spider silk 25 pp each

silk swatches 10 each (*scratches head* Hmm...)

Terrorantula Silk 90 - 100 pp EACH! (wth?)

THIS is why I hunt my own, or vendor mine.

        That's just insane.

Theres a difference in PRICING something and SELLING something.
I can PRICE spider silks at 25p each, but I SELL them at 2.5p each.

            Welcome to the club.

I will admit I have to buy some of the components that I need for my trades but I am lucky that BD have come down even though they are getting a bit scarce latley. I also stock up when someone has things priced very low. I have multiple mules set and ready to swoop in and grab bargins in the bazaar. Yes I could go farm my BD but I play odd times and do not know how much time I have when I play so it is hard to get a group not to mention Druid=LFG off even if it is on hehehehe.

Good Luck to you the trophies are worth it.

Do brewing - it can be completely storebought up to 248 and then you'll need a corker anyway.

Tailoring and smithing are not for the faint of heart.

The cupcake is DONE! 1750!!! And 7 Trophies! And a fishing pole! That summons beer! Woo! And Tarteene, the enchanting gnomish tinkerer of the 247th bolt and one neato Tinkering Trophy
