  • GRR Steel Silk armor

Rounded up 75 Terrantula swatches and was looking forward to when I max out Wu's..which I did last night..0-158 tailor in ruffly 2 days of moderate time spent on it.

So I get all the swatches set and then look to see the mana vials I need for it take 4 rubys each..AHHHHHHHHH crap.

Who in their right mind would make that crap at over 500pp a combine. Any ways off to farming acrylia to 188. Got my shears off Shei so things are going well!

...you <b>DO</b> know that Terrorantula Silks are for Erudite Cultural Tailoring, and <b>not</b> Wu's, right? <img src=http://www.boomspeed.com/sinuuyanea/dcpuzzle.gif alt="I dont think they do...">

Yea I am Erudite that has maxed Wu's out and was picking my next means of skilling up then I realized I made a grave assumtion that the mana vials would be cheaper than what they actually are.

It's not worth making for skillups. The armor, while not the best these days, is not that bad. Yes, it is a pain to make, and will drain your bank, But if you are a plate wering erudite you can wear it with pride. It was better pre-luclin, when it had a uniqe graphic. I wore most of a full suit untill I gradualy replaced it in my low 50s.

I'm sorry, but there's nothing of substance here - bumping it to Primal Scream.

Oh, don't forget that the IMBUED steelsilk went trival before you even touched Wu's. Only the plain old unimbued steelsilk with less stats is not trivial.

Basically it's not a valid skillup path.

Glad to see that it's not just me who thinks that this is insanely stupid.
Would having Steelsilk use Distilled Mana (or even Clear Mana ) really break the game now?

By the way - just because I bumped it here doesn't mean I don't agree that it's far too expensive for the quality of armor.

I made one piece of imbued steelsilk back in the day. After soloing the terrorantula a couple of times for a few measely, unstackable silks (this was well before the changes to the spawns), shelling out the cash for the rubies, and wasting time finding an enchanter...all to make a piece of armor that was subpar compared to other cultural armors of the time...I realized that whoever came up with the idea was either smoking something or *needed* to smoke something.
