If i see one more stinking rant about how hard shadowscream is to farm, I am going to scream!
"I only get a stack of substance an hour"
"The stuff is all no drop"
"Wolves in TM are too hard"
"There aren't enough owlbears in Paludal"

Today i spent 3 hours in Hollowshade, a level 34 shaman, some mobs in the zone were dark blue, none but the wandering named undercons (Curfang, Gorehorn, Dirtchomp, Prince) were red. . .
For 3 hours i pulled and killed grimlings, concentrating on the mystics, and killing what others i had to in order to get them. In the first hour and a half, i killed 7 mystics, and found corpses for 3 of those 7. The others ran off faster than SoW speed as soon as they hit half hitpoints and either died somewhere that i couldn't hunt down their corpses, or were eaten by bad pathing despawn bugs, or possibly killed by wolves or owlbears. Of the 3 that i did find, none had any of the Wolfbane quest drops.
After about the first hour and a half, a friend came to help me out ( *hugs Kirstin* ) and started AEing the island. So for the next 90 minutes or so, we got about 20-30 mystics. So for 3 hours, at the "Appropriate level" with quite a bit of help, i ended up with. . . 2 bags of white sand (and no warriors in the zone), 3 fish oil soaked rags (no beastlords either), 1 Ashes of a Dark Ritual (nor bards) and ZERO Blackened Salt Crystals.
You wanna talk stupid drop rates?
Meanwhile, for the first 2 hours or there abouts, there were 3 other people in the zone. . . none lower than level 49, none Vah Shir, trying to throw the war to farm for shadowscream. Trying to despawn the only mobs from the only part of the only zone in the game that drop the Blackened Salt Crystals.
So i don't wanna here any more *&%& whining about "I can't get the stuff for shadowscream"
Owlbears from level 12 to level 30 in 3 zones drop wailing substance.
Wolves in 3-4 zones from level 15 to level 45 or 46 drop shrieking substance.
Shades in 4 zones from level 6 to level 55 drop swirling shadows.
Grimling Mystics in one third of one zone from level 21-25 drop Blackened Salt Crystals.
C'mon, whine about your drop rates or how hard it is to farm components or not being able to get xp while you do it. I dare you.
