    LEGAL NOTICE

The Gods and Goddesses of Norrath and Luclin (herein afterward referred to collectively as "deities"), by and through counsel Phabos, wish to notify all persons, both human and non-human, especially those belonging to the class consisting of lower level Player Characters with similarly low intelligence (herein after referred to either as "dumb newbies" or "**** newbies"), that they have removed the bounty on the heads, backbones, blood, and steins of the Aqua Goblins of Norrath (also referred to as AGs).

This posting serves as ample warning to all **** newbies that there is no longer a reason to ask every thirty seconds "ag chek plz", nor is there any longer a benefit of Kill Stealing (KS) and/or fighting over appearing goblins (spawns) or groups thereof (camps).

This posting also serves as notice to higher level Player Characters (also referred to as "PCs who don't want to risk dying or invest platinum pieces (pp) in tradeskills so that they can afford 'uber gear', thus erasing all notions of effort and risk vs. reward") that there is no longer any reason to subject themselves to dumb newbies who repeatedly ask "r u almost done" and/or "pst when you leave kk thx".

If anyone has any questions regarding the nature of this notice, please reread it.

Notice Dated This 15th Day of March, 2003

    PHABOS
Attorney at Large Representing the Deities
Offices of Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe

OOC PS: Maybe this will stop an almost certain "AG NERFED!" rant. Shouldn't really surprise anyone, except that SOE waited this long to actually do it.

          Just to clarify:

Between the time they were put into Butcherblock (whenever all the newbie armor quests went in) and the last patch, AG heads, backbones, blood vials, and steins would sell to vendors for 4-5pp EACH. The bones and blood were stackable, and each level 5-7 goblin would give up to 4 drops and were on about a 5 to 6 minute spawn cycle. There is one camp with 5 and another with 6, with a loner out a little farther. As you can imagine, this was a major way to earn pp with no risk. Granted, 4-5pp isn't much, but a few thousand pp over a full day camping is and often was.

Last night, I wandered that direction and killed a few, and when I sold the loot, the price had fallen to about 5sp.

As Paul Harvey would say, "And now you know the REST of the story."

Wow - I'm surprised that there weren't any rants on the message boards about this new "nerf" - you'd think that folks would be up in arms about it?

Sadly, the gods did anounce that they were having a talk with the mino hero about how much OT he was putting in showing up every five minutes in Steamfront.

Apparently, not having taken a day off in his life and putting in all of that OT resulted in him building up WAY too many vacation days - he's now been ordered to take this vaction time or else - no one knows when he'll be back, but it's garanteed not till next patch at the earliest.
