Making the Erollisi Heraldic armour a different colour than pink was just plain WRONG

My cleric likes the pink armour that symbolises the Goddess of Love! she doesn't want the boring old golden colour that the heraldic is *pout*

...and no, I don't want to use the dyes!!!

Well I know some tanks that are going for a solid neon color for ease of assist. "Assist me on %T NOW! I am the hot pink ogre." I agree that some people take it too far.

Somehow managed to score myself a SS helm so now atleast I've lost the brilliant blue hat.

Now I've just gotta get rid of the hot red with black knee pad pants and I'll almost look normal again.

Sigh - I'm begining to miss looking like a fashion victim.

I like the dyes. Now my monk has a nice white robe and my trader will be head to toe fire engine red.

I decided to try and set my Erudite paladin up in the original plate colors, which were a silver chest and black limbs (and, of course, the bugged paper bag brown hood, which I ignored...). Unfortunately, I ran into a little problem...
Specifically, the one that keeps you from creating a dye with color values less than 25. So I ended up with dark gray limbs instead of black. The effect was bad enough that I decided not to keep it, but in honesty, I don't think I would have kept the coloring even if I had been able to get black. It just doesn't work as well without the original sleeves and skirt.
VI has been mentioning new looks for high level characters, and I really hope they decide to bring the old Erudite plate look, or something similar to it, back for the new models.

Only one of the three values has to be greater than 24. Your 3 darkest shades are [ 0 0 25 ][ 0 25 0 ] and [ 25 0 0 ] i don't know which shade best represents quellious, but i would think darkest blue would work for Prexus. All in all, i think the new Erudite models look worse than the old ones at all times, so i run with them off.

The problem you brought up at the start of this thread was that you can't tell the fashion victims from the fashion suicides anymore.

                Pink

Ive worn pink for quite some time now. Bile stained robes(might not be exact name but close) from burrower in AC is pink with darker pink highlights(with models on) or just plain pink without models on. Of course I am really a girl but before dyes came out I was proud of my pink .

At least my odd robe, that so far I have gotten about 40 tells from other clerics/int casters about, doesn't look dyed so its still a fashon statement. Of course clerics in robes always make a fashion statement and once I can dye it something more neutral(if I decide to) I can go /rol and even stop the rez/virtue/aego requests assuming I hide that epic in my hand :P .

I can't even dye anything if I wanted to darn SOE and its gotta have a credit card to get this expansion with any timing.

Since I don't have a horse, I may very well go ahead and do this. The original Erudite plate looks (both male and female) are still the flat out best armor styles in the game.
                  Bugs excepted, of course.
And given my experience with dark blue dyes on the black Erudite sleeves (my original fine plate dye experiment was dark blue - when shaded over the original Erudite black, the only difference was that the dyed armor didn't have the highlights of the undyed armor), I suspect I can pull off a pretty good effect.
The only thing I'm wondering about is what effect the dyes will have on the paper bag helm bug.

My favorite one so far was a pumpkin colored ogre. He was in plate head to toe with that awful 70's pumpkin color. Another ogre was great in Fruity Pebbles colors - neon yellow red green and purple.

I love the tacky color choices - EQ is a game and the self-expression the dyes offer just adds to the silliness. And it really helps folks not take things quite as seriously.

I have done a little dying (oops I meant dyeing) and found that dark colors actually change the halfling scullery maid outfit into something kind of nice. I have a dark maroon skirt and dark teal blouse now and it kind of works. Even looks OK with the ES vambraces dark green. My regret is I am starting to get Elysian armor and it looks like the spiders who made it ate too many berries or got really sick.

Did he have a green helm to go with it? Then he could look like one of those pumpkin shaped halloween candies. :P
