How on earth did it take me 4 months to find out about the beginner magic manual?

I have heard people with it, and always known my +3 int range item isn't as good as it, but I figured it was tough to get.

Then someone says all you need is a hobgoblin suprise....

I look into the quest, and they are almost right, it took me 20 minutes of walking around PoK and 150pp for a hobgoblin suprise, and now I have a plus 6 int range item.

Guess I should play this game more for the quests, I haven't done so nearly enough.

Seeing your posts here, I *assume* that your +3 Int Range slot item was the Seal of Thurgadin. What did you do with it? I am wondering if I can destroy it (well, less than a week before I have room again) or if that will bite me in the arse if I do.

+3 int item was a dagger, also had +3 strength...

I am no where near Uber gear wise .

No idea what that Seal is, sorry.

I am hoping to replace the manual with a Trophy, but I can't afford more artisans seals to try anytime soon.

destroy that little crap item....It won't affect your progression with the shawls(unless they make it a charm and you get bonuses for thurg armor from it ...if so i'll cry)

Don't destroy the Seal, you can use it to MQ the third shawl and someone can skip the Baking part with it.

LOL - I got my seal two weeks after I got my trophy which was one week after I got my manual, so my seal was useless three weeks before I even got it.

3rd shawl MQ, eh? hmmmm Does the Seal then get transferred to the new person when it is returned? It seems it should.

Btw, the manual does have a minimum level of 45...=P

I suppose that would make sense since you have to be 46 to get into Tranquility...

It is recommended 45, not required I think, I'd have to double check...

I never zoned into tranquility for it, only 2 zones involved for me.

                        PoK and Bazaar.

Hobgoblin suprise technically requires nightmare drop, but they were only 150pp in bazaar.

I happened to have been 47 (1 kill into it). Incidentially at that level when all was said and done I had about a blue exp... though I think pretty much all the exp was for the final turn in, the 6 or so mid turn-ins said exp, but I don't think it moved.

No, I know, but I was thinking of running this quest for my new frog I plan on making...but I checked the stats in Magelo and they were all zero's, so sorta pointless.

Hmm, might do it for exp at lvl 10 or so when you have a bit of time... the final turn-in seemed to not be that bad.

Though for 150pp you could probably find other exp quests at that level. Unless you have access to more hobgoblin suprises than I do... in which case doing the quest over and over and going through a stack of them may be worth your time.

Oh right...the xp...forgot about that part. Yah, that might be worth it alone.
