  • /em kicks the corpse

There is an advantage to being a tradeksiller in a high level raiding guild.

It has nothing to do with acquiring components. It has everything to do with getting even.

Zoing into the temple of Mithaniel Marr last night, trade skills were the last thing on my mind. I was focusing on surviving and not screwing up.

As we stood there waiting for the pull and I had Lord Mithaniel Marr targeted, I suddenly realized how much angst he had caused me. I remembered his giving me more trouble than any other type of cultural armor. I remembered posting that he hated me. I remember three failed BPs in a row. I remembered EIGHT failed boots in a row. I got mad.

So it was with an extra degree of pleasure that I helped kick his butt!!

I would hope that you don't get any non-PoP hits...

I mean, you have to go to Freeport to buy the Imbue Diamond spell, which is needed to make any of the other PoP Imbue spells.

That's the Temple of Marr you have to buy it from!

Of course, it would only be fair... then again if you're going to do that... why shouldn't Inny & Cazic give faction hits?

LOL - I can just see you suddenly breaking rank and charge screaming at him waving your weapon and frothing at the mouth.

                "What just happened?"

"Oh, Lling is a smith - just burned half a dozen different Mith Marr combines."

"Then it was a bad idea to bring her?"

"Heck no - she's already got Mith down to 50% hitpoints and desperately trying to run away from her - the rest of us haven't had to do a thing."

                "Go Lling!"

                Cigarskunk!

                    *snicker*

I can't wait to be able to bash Karana's head in and get revenge for the frustration he's caused me over my career. Not only does my Enchanter suffer faction issues b/c he "worships" Karana, but there isn't any High Elf Karana armor my Enchanter can wear.

It's just too bad that Karana doesn't give any flags. Guess I'll have to solo him!

Don't worry Cantatus, half the rangers in the Alliance are going to want to kill him for shortchanging them on gear/tradeskills for the last 4 years.

My husband worships Karana. His dream is to shove Karana in a hole surrounded by halfling children who drank too much cool-aid to pay him back for years of being rained on. It seems appropriate that when you finally see Karana he is standing in a small pool.

My enchanter also worships Karana, but she's a Human, she grew up in Qeynos, right down the street from The House of Thunder, and has Tithed and quested for them since she began adventuring. Her sister, a Knight of Thunder, wears nearly an entire set of Karana Imbued Field Plate, but for her, nothing.

                          edit: Warning, extreme bitterness follows

Maybe some day Humans will learn from the Erudites how to weave silken armor for their int casters. Maybe some day Humans will learn from the High Elves or Dark Elves how to smith chain mail light light enough for their int casters. Maybe some day Humans will learn from the Wood Elves or Halflings how to sew leather armor for their Druids and Monks. Maybe some day they will learn from the Barbarians how to smith tought yet flexible metal armor such as a Beastlord might wear for their Monks.

Why is it that humans have only learned to make armors for 7 of their 13 classes?
