I see more people vendor diving than I do out hunting. They should make some vendor diving AA's like..."deep warehouse exploration" or something.

During the Fabled PoP, on the vender in POK by the dogle bank that sells the Soda, 3 seperate times I found a stack or more of Innovative Clockwork Gears, total amount I found was about 50 between the 3 finds.

I gave half to a guildee who needed obviously for Ambleshaft stuff, the other half I sold on my trader. Going rate for them on Tunare is 7-10k per, I sold for 5k each and they moved FAST for a quick 125k

I'm always impressed with people who know exactly whats good and what isnt. I love vendor diving but I barely know what to get anymore.

At SoD launch, a dusty tinkerer's barterer wanted many Tiny Clockwork Shafts at DoDH-era prices. Most of the common vendors had none in stock, but I'd noted a huge pile of them in my guild hall. (The profits were immediately paid back to the tinkerer's seller. Whirrclick! *sticks a magnetic blinky on her backside plate **sproing!blinkblinkblinksproing!blinkblink!** *)

I understand the need for many of the items noted above.... like Blue Diamonds and such.... but the cost of BD's are restrictive to profit. I see BD's on practically every vendor and long ago stopped buying them for re-sale, because they stopped selling at prices above what the vendors sell them to me for.

So, I assume the thrill is the "need" for these items to skill up or max trophies with, without paying high Bazaar prices.

Then again, there are much cheaper avenues than BD's....

The things I find that sell well, even if for small profits per item... are the alchemy items like Luciderm (sp?) and such.

Ok, I know it's been 8 months since a post in this thread, but I am a 71 druid, and I have always used my Ring spells to check the vendors at the druid rings to see what other folks have sold from their fighting.
At 70, I started hitting the rings in reverse spell level order:
1) Direwind Cliffs, running back into Sunderrock Springs to check all the vendors there, then run into Gor'-Mesa;
2) the Steppes, run or cast to there, run to Icefall Glacier;
3) Buried Sea druid ring, then succor to the docks' vendors, then run to Katta Castrum;
4) Arcstone
5) Undershore, then succor to the upper ledge and run into Corathus Creep
6) Natimbi, then use the magus system to Abysmal Sea, Nedaria, Everfrost, Commonlands, North Ro, South Ro, Butcherblock;
7) I skip Cobalt Scar because I was a bad doggie, I killed otters in my youth...;
8) Dawnshroud Peaks;
9) Lavastorm;
10) Steamfont; run to Dragonscale Hills vendors; catch the boat to Loping plains, southern spell vendor, druid vendor, then succor back to fangbreaker camp;
11) Blightfire Moors; then run to Stone Hive (enchanter vendor);
12) Stonebrunt-succor to point above the dock and hit Gunthak;
13) Grimling Forest;
14) Toxxulia; run to Barren Coast;
15) Surefall Glade; run to Jaggedpine; ring back to Surefall and bank my goods...

Somedays are good, some aren't. But it's a system I've used for some time.
I use my 83 rogue to shop at the vendors where I don't have good faction...he can sneak and be indifferent. He can also sneak around Feerott 2, Brell's Rest, and the Seeds zones.
