And here I am again, 70 Rhenium Ore, in the G-Hall forge, triv 272, skill 260.
    1 skill up!

    1 friggin skill up!

I am soo tired of this BS. I bet now people will post again that i had a bad run. I apparently only have sub par runs.

Or is that frikkin zone and forge broken somehow?

    I mean

    70:1????

Skillups in GH were never broken to my knowledge. There is a chance for scripts that do Trophy experience not to load correctly, but that's rare. Still keeps me from doing those combines in instances, but it's rare.

I feel bad for you, but you know deep down that its not a terrible run. Many people including myself have had much worse runs with the RNG. I seem to remember a 430 attempts without a skillup in tailoring some years ago.

Keep up the combining, you will be rewarded with some good runs eventually.

Oh, and I dont know if this is me being superstitious , but i never do skillup runs in the G-Hall... Instance Zones were borked for so long on the AB server that i really dont trust them.

I was doing JC, and got 4 skillups in the first 20 combines, and then 0 in the next 80. Nice average though at 290+.

Your best bet is to hang onto the Rhenium templates and get the bonded loams to make the armor. The armor has a skill up bonus, the templates do not.

I had 280 Rhenium and over 100 bonded loam stashed. My worst run on the templates as 87 without a skill up and the armor I had a 45 run between skill ups.

Does it hurt? Yes, but thankfully no where near as much as the 488 between skill ups in fletching did (mostly making vendor bows).

Fortunately runs over 100 seem to be much less frequent than they used to be.

No, a bad run is like 200 without a skill up. /shrug

                Yes.

Think it took me 700 or so Blue Diamonds to go from 298 JC to 300.

I would of been very happy with a 70:1 ratio then. 8)

70:1 is not that bad. Pretty much par for the course. Chin up, maybe you'll get 3 on your next run.

My lord I think it took me THOUSANDS of X potions to get my last several points on alchemy. I would have been super happy at a 70:1 ratio.

I sat at 299 pottery for about 5 months. I did 1000 (yes one thousand) stein combines. No skill up. Then the other day, for some unknown reason i said "why not... one last shot." I made enough subs for 60 more combines and BAMN. On the 60th combine i hit 300 pottery.
