i feel it is pretty sad when the componets to make the sublime symbols cost more then the item made ie. was looking in bazaar for symbol material for my wifes sublime boot symbol of growth the spinneret fluid was at 350k the marrow was at 345k the loam was at 400k the made symbol was selling for 300k you can guess which way i went ,but since i am 300 in smithing and tailoring with trophies in both i wanted to make it for her but every thing was to expensive so i bought the made symbol seeing i failed twice to make it on my own .
i feel this is something the desingers failed to take into reason when they think about the drop rate of items the failure rate of combines this was on luclin sever and that was the only sublime symbol for sale in bazaar

If it makes you feel any better spinners and marrows sell for aprox 500k on my server when i see symbols they are over 700 k.

You probably bought the symbol off a tailor who got the drop himself

I never even seen a sublime symbol for sale in our bazaar. So couldn't tell you what they sell for, but the marrow and fluids are 25-300k a piece.

I think the prices are spiking at the moment due to the drop rate change and people having used up all of the pre SoF launch drops they had hoarded. Once the supply of the components is steady you'll probably see prices droping a bit, but these are some pretty nice augs in the end, I don't think they will ever be cheap.

Wait, am I reading your post right? You purchased the finished product for less than it would have cost to purchase the components and attempt the combine yourself? And you're complaining?!?

Wow. There is just no pleasing some people.

i have over 2195 aa have every trades skill aa there is and every trophie there is to get for my class which is ranger .
i was trying to make a point that the componets to make the symbol shouldn't cost more then the product itself at 440 combine with everything maxed the combine is still over 100 skill points above a traders highest possible skill level and i don't think the designer take that fact into consideration when they make the drop rate

I think the designer just decided what he wanted the fail rate to be then did the math to determine what trivial would be necessary to achieve that fail rate v. an artisan with 300 raw skill + 15% skill mod + mastery 3.

It's better than a hard coded min success rate. It doesn't exactly reward people with mastery AAs so much as it punishes those without them.

People making a profit by selling the components at higher prices than the results ??

Shocking I say, shocking. This never happened 4 years ago. (And before, and since, and since the dawn of multiplayer games.)

Call in the AG and DoJ and have a price-fixing investigation I say ....

                  (ok ... /sarcasm off again)

I suck at this game, your mileage WILL vary. My path is probably NON-optimal.
