For me, it's not so much the number of friends, but the fact that the majority of mine play all 8 of their characters fairly regularly. Adds up, after a bit . . .

100 on ignore? Woohoo! I never use my friends list and rarely use /who friends all, but man, I'm putting gambler after gambler, casino after casino, on ignore in the bazaar. Not to mention the people who auction in OOC or Shout.

oh god yes those gamblers/casinos drive me nuts!

ive also discovered i am a good deal less tolerant in my old age: if i see you say the same **** thing 3 times on the chat screen (before its scrolled off) you get the ignore boot!

I've gotten so antsy about spammers that I did something kneejerk the other night... I was in ME with a group and someone spammed, "WANT TO BUY SPIDER SILKS 5PP EACH!!" for about six lines, and just out of reflex, I OOC'd back, "/ignore" and put them on ignore. Two beats later I said, "Oh, duh, they just had the wrong keybank." I took them off ignore and sure enough, that's what it was. Luckily they understood my reaction and laughed when I told them I'd spammed "TRAIN TO ZONE" over and over once while trying to hit my KICK key and they forgave me.

Darn you, intentional spammers! ::shakes a little blue fist futily in the air::
