100 sickles - 1360 clicks.

Wasting an entire sunday with nothing to show for it, *smurfing* retarded.

Now I remember why I quit doing tradeskills months ago. Figured I'd try to max out smithing before sickles were removed. What a stupid idea THAT was.

This is the one thing I hate most about tradeskilling (thus my thread a while back on how to fix it).

On the less dim side.....

1) you have over a quarter million in tribute for the effort
2) you bought the stuff for your components...you didn't waste the farming of 800 othmir furs or 200 treant branches
3) you didn't get half way from 220 to 300 before realizing you could BUY the sheet metal from a vendor instead of making it (doh!)

If your smithing really is still at 250, then that is some extreme hatefulness from the RNG. I wouldn't have thought it possible to get no skill ups from 200 combines at that skill level.

/hugs That's still pretty awful, tho. I've done over 400 sickle combines in the past week or so, and working my skill up into the 280s. What a wonderful thing I have to look forward to when I get into the 290s.

If you think making lots of CE's are bad, try 2 boxing for making CE's. On 2 PCs I set up with the mouse over combine button and made /autoinventory hot key so all I did was to click then press hot key.

Still sucked after some 6,000 CE's made but would have been twice as long with just one toon. I'm about burned out on MCS and will wait until after the revamp to see what vah shir cultural smithing is like. Yttrium ore is too pricey in bazaar and some assorted tards keep training me in the Deep, guess they didn't care for anyone when they farmed for clicky shrink stick

Totally really a great idea. It could still take time, but you wouldn't be clicking. Is there some REAL reason this cannot happen?

Let's not go into plat farmer pseudo-psychological plat earning BS. I don't buy or sell to them and quite frankly don't give a shissar scale what they do. What I do care about is that the constant never-ending clicking motion has a very real effect on actual, not virtual health. Plus, those folks that can't be bothered with trades aren't going to suddenly be turned on by the fact that CE's suddenly became much easier to combine in hordes. Most folks won't even concider doing trades because they were made to be so unbearable that it's a bit like signing up to wash public toilets.
