Whats teh hotzones????/??//????

I've just returned to EQ after a few years off just to check out what is new. One thing I've been wondering: when did so many players get so lazy?

I've seen the question, "Whats the hotzones" asked in channels, /ooc and /shout several times an hour. Honestly how hard is it to find this information and write it down? Put it on paper, post-it, or just remember what zone you were in the last few weeks.

The other day someone was shouting "hotzone 38" every few seconds until someone finally shouted back what the hotzone for that level was (CC, IC, SD, BW). How lazy can that person be? And should't the hotzone for level 38 be the same as level 37?

Its not just the hotzone question. What mob drops ____? What zone is ____ dropped in? Where can I get _____? How do I Who do I Where do I What do I????? Can't they just look this stuff up on Allakhazam?

I don't remember so many players asking questions that are listed on so many sites.

I Just have to add that I was requested to port people twice this week from PoK to Gfay. Actually, I have quite a long list of lame things that happen, but that may be a story for another day.

I used to get requests to port someone from the Nexus to DSP, but that one takes the cake.

I haven't seen anyone in the PoK dong this yet: "/OOC Can someone please port me to the PoK?" I'll let you know if I do.

You know, people used to ask far more questions years ago. Why would real new players have any idea what eqtraders is, allakhazam's is (assuming you want to keep supporting the plat sellers that own the site now), class boards, or even the sony boards?

In fact, when this game was new, /ooc would be constantly streaming by with questions about the game. Maybe the player didn't speak english well. Maybe they had just heard about hotzones from another player in a group they were in. Who knows?

I'd like to know when the players in this game became so aggressively hostile to other players. Make fun of jerks fine, but getting mad at someone that asks a question even if poorly worded?

random_guildie_noob (rog) found that limit by constanly asking the same thing for 2 weeks.. ok,the question changes a bit,but.. it looked something like this (and lasted 2 weeks)

"where do i buy poison?" -you dont you make it.
"can someone tell me how to make poison?" -look on eqtraders
<link> "is this poison?" -no,its for making poison with

"how do i make poison?" -look on eqtraders.com
"how do i apply poison?" -click on it

i was not pissed.. i was in a fine mood,was just a little bit tired (little?!) of him spamming the same questions all over and not listening to what i told him.

now he made a mage instead,lol ) i cant wait till he will be asking questions like : where can i buy this n that pet? i have to make it?? ooh..how do i do that,etc.. i know those questions are gonna come,so think im gonna put a "look on eqtraders" in the guildmotd

Actually did see this once. I just said "Okay, poof.. you're there." and thankfully they corrected themselves and really meant a different zone.
