  • Primal............... whimper

Thats right, I have no energy left for a scream... all I can do is crawl in a corner and whimper...

299 smithing.. sickles till I cant move... At 298 I finally set up the "LAST" run of them... Yay at 11 sickles out I got a skill up to 299. I cant believe Im finally going to be done...

I stay up after raids late..

89 sickles more.... not one ... single ... skill up

I give up and crawl into bed exhausted, hating the RNG.

It happens That one last skillup you needed will always be the hardest one to get.

Other day went and farmed enough for 60 combines. Second combine = last skill up. At least stuff will be used by another alt.

Lol... I've so been there... the day I found out the really expensive vendor bought gems stacked to 100, I also got my JC skill-up first try for that gem.... Oh well, I ended up just saving them for the next level of metal....

            LOL....
I call for the elimination of EQ levels 1-50.

I generally won't do burn combines when it comes to the last skill up or two for tradeskills. Take smithing... I ended at 296 on my last burn of sickles... so I went about making GM armor for sale and low and behold, hit 300 without much problem without having to worry about wasted supplies.

              Just a thought

I prepared precombines for 500 sickles for my first run on them. 265 to 277 on 500 combines makes me very sad.

                  Vochore -

Ouch... that's painful. What's worse is that's about 1 in 40 skillups, which is actually about the expectation. Hopefully you are getting enough success to make the plat losses not super horible.

(I'm not doing smithing, plenty of folks on my server can meet my smithing needs, and other than tailoring I can't think of a more painful skill. But I'm sure someone will explain how hard tinkering / fletching for non-karana is...)

But I'm going to agree with Wyvernwill and say I wouldn't overstress about the last 4 points of any skill. You can get those just doing combines for friends.
In My (Not Always) Humble Opinion, except where I quote someone. If I don't know I say so.
I suck at this game, your mileage WILL vary. My path is probably NON-optimal.

One in forty is harsh Vochore, very harsh. I guess it's the RNG's way of telling a kitty to head to The Deep and start to farm drops there.

Not to worried about the loss of plat, gave some away, tributed a bunch and have 200 or so saved for a guildmate.

Oh well, will have another 500 combines ready soon.
