To all those who spam in the bazaar that you have the lowest prices or are offering the most in barter:

Please look first. I always check on these to see if there is a good deal to be had and in 5 years I have NEVER seen someone make this claim and have it be true. (The worst offenders were one guy who was not the lowest on 5 of 7 items he was offerng, and the guy spamming how much he would pay for Radiants when he was offering half what they went for in barter).

This isn't necessarily a major transgression since any astute buyer/seller will look, but I put it here because I find this a major irritant.

But please don't post HERE thinking you are reaching THOSE guys. Ranting is fine, but please don't address the community like we are errant children.

Isn't the point of primal scream room is to let someone vent the rant?

I do dislike people claiming one thing and I often followed their claim with /ooc I see 5 other seller selling the same thing for less.

I also ignore the chronic liars as well as those who make a big fuss when I point out other buyer or seller has better deals.

I posted here because I wanted to vent. If this was directed specifically at this community, I would have more likely posted in the general forum, as tradeskillers already have an unfairly bad rap, and this would only enhance our poor image. (To compare, everyone hates lawyers until they need one....myself included..so when a lawyer goes on tv to chase ambulances he reinforces our bad image of the profession).

And, btw, I know of at least one offender who is a regular here.

I do agree with you, Olhoss, in regards to those types of spammers in the bazaar. Actually, I despise spammers - period. One of the default things I almost always do when entering the bazaar (I won't do this if I'm only there for a minute or two) is to turn on the filter to weed out /ooc, /shout, and /auction. That way, I can browse the bazaar in peace, or set up a trader and never have to worry about my message box being filled up with tons of spam.

I think the only spammers I hate more than those bazaar clowns are those rare people who still like to spam a casino in the Plane of Knowledge every now and then. Why anyone would want to risk being ripped off by one of these people is beyond me, especially considering there already is an NPC run casino in Shadowhaven.
