    Christmas Fishing - SCREAM-

    Ok this is getting a little rediculous!

    This is supposed to be a 'fun' Christmas quest, which up untill now it has been.....

    All i have left to do is Fish the fish in Everfrost, and currently I have gone through about 9 stacks of bait and still havent caught any.

    I have 200 skill + Brells fishing pole that makes me 206skill
    I am equiping a Torch as a heatsource

    But still nothing...... when did this turn from a fun christmas quest into an indurance test???

    The only happy thing i have to add is some very nice chanter gave me 2 Everfrost Trout when they left... the christmass spirit is still alive in some people... but that fishing camp is killing that spirit in me!!!!

    Ouch. =( I tried carrying a gnomish heat source in a top level inventory slot, but that didn't seem to help. Then I noticed some other fishers carrying a lantern, so I went and bought one too. That seemed to speed things up for me. Nevertheless, Everfrost took longer than any of the others ... well, about the same as Dagnor's, since I couldn't control the rain.

      the rate of fishing trouts in everfrost still is bad but there is an npc near the fork in the river selling a Nest Latern which seems specialy for this fishing.

      6 hours and only 2 everfrost trouts yet

        Well i bought one of those Lanterns, and burned through another 7 stacks.

        Makes my total 16 stacks.... and still no Everfrost Trout.

        This is getting a little silly for what should be a fun christmas time quest.

          Try the area underground for fishing.

          I got 3 there in about an hour. Versus 1 from the 'hole' near the vendor in just over FOUR hours.

            Also, done with all tasks now and got the 10slot 100% stocking (technically got it without doing all, but whatever).

            I am hoping it will get filled up on xmas day, but not holding my breath! =p

              Equip a Small Lantern, you'll finish the quest in 15 minutes or so.

                Ah!

                Got a bug on this and could not find anything about the fish other than it existed in the item table

                (I had NOTHING whatsoever to do with these quests...)

                Looks like the designer scripted some things Which would be why you have to do odd things to get things

                  Not to mention, the "AC food" that you get as reward doesnt even add to AC. Yes its on top...

                    I don't think any other food in the game has AC. AC probably only works for worn items. I know you get more AC when you equip an item than its stated AC, so the multiplier is probably 0 for AC on food.

                      I'm hoping - and this is just a hope, because I'm twisted that way - that all the 'presents' can be combined in some way if you do all six quests.

                      To that end, I'm doing the Santug quest last because the ogre outfit is temporary.

                        That would be dumb, for the MANY of us that have done the tasks already and either used the effect or lost the item(temp..).

                        Reguardless, getting another 10 slot 100% reduction bag is about as good as getting a piece of coal. My 'stocking' will stay in bank.

                              fishing quest

                              I did the fishing quest last night in about 90 minutes based on the tips on this website. Lake Rathe took me the longest. Everfrost was the second longest. Cazic temple was the shortest. I love that I now always have bait to go with my fisherman's companion.
