Back when you could leave things in TS containers I would use kilns to do transfers. You could see if anyone was around, and even if someone came they would most likely use teh pottery wheel first which would buy you some extra time.

Back in the days that tradeskill containers let you leave items in them and I was on Stormhammer *mourn*, I left items in the Erudin Racial Forge for 4 days. Not game days, 4 actual, real life human days. Not sure if there just weren't taht many Erudites there or maybe people just didn't want an Erudin Needle and 3 stacks of Terrorantula silk swatches.Comment

I used to drop things behind a building in Halas until I managed to drop the bags in a snowbank and was unable to retrieve them.
